Found Live Worms in Charcoal !!! rating

I bought these filters and found live black worms about 1/4 inch long! The worms appeared in about a week and were clinging to the filter. I bought multiple packs, as I have more than 1 fountain and all the filters got the worms. The worms appeared in about a week. The filters are replaced regularly and even more frequently in warm weather. My cats are indoor cats and fed the best of the best food, so I know for sure the worms were in the charcoal. If you use these filters place them in boiled water for a few minutes, rinse them with hydrogen peroxide and rinse with fresh water again, also complain directly to the company! 1-877-PETMATE (1-877-738-6283) customer service.

Easy to set up, clean and maintain! My cats love having fresh, clean, running water to drink. It's very quiet as well.

Where I live we have well water with a lot of lime in it. These do a great job of removing the lime from the water and keeping the water freah for my cats.
