Having a Ball     On: 2008-05-22

My dogs love these balls!!! One uses the handle to fetch it in the pool, the other dog prefers to bite into the ball to get it. Although they are not handled with care, these balls last (almost) forever. Good investment.
Rat terriers love it too!     On: 2007-12-12

Our Rat Terrier loves his Jolly Ball! He has had one for 6 years now and it is still going strong. It has tons of tooth puncture holes and it still floats and bounces! He likes to pick it up by the handle to bring it to us, but then squeeze it with his teeth when he retrieves it. He is a lazy dog most of the time, but if we get his jolly ball out, he will play until he is exhausted.
Best German Sheperd Toy ..... Ever!!!     On: 2007-09-20

This toy is like crack cocaine for German Shepards. My 5 year old GS will fetch, tug and chew with the Jolly Ball until shes completely exhausted. I bought one for a friend with an older GS and he couldnt believe how much his dog would play.
Dog LOVES this and it's tough     On: 2007-01-20

These balls are great. My German Shepherd was 1st given the Tug-n-Toss by my aunt, a 6" size. She LOVED it from the start. Then, when she destroyed it, we saw there were 8". That is ideal for her. We also tried the 10". My dog goes crazy if you say "Jolly Ball"!

Basically, the ball is ideal. It is tough yet not so tough she cant puncture it with her teeth (no, she doesnt use the handle - thats for us). However, its a tough ball enough that the shape doesnt change (no "deflate"), and its bouyancy doesnt much change! Its still a very bouncy ball for a long time of abuse (its just light enough for bounciness). My dog puts lots of punctures in the ball AND she squeezes it, but it always goes back to shape. Until its so punctured it starts to "bubble" on 1 area on the center line.

The 8" lasts about 3 mos or so for us before it is in bad enough shape that the dog starts using it as a chew toy (big hole). It gets ALOT of abuse. And the dog LOVES its bounciness and toughness (she likes to squeeze), so its all worth it. If you get your ideal size, and your dog is like ours in personality, he should like it if you play with him.
