![]() AerobieĀ® DogobieTM Disc - Yellow Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 7 More Information Great Dog Frisbee If you like to throw Frisbees for your dog, this is the one to have. It is soft, and you can throw it a very long way if you want. I do not know how durable it would be if your dog simply chews on it. Ours last forever unless the dogs take it out into the weeds and drop it, which has happened. Very hard to throw Although the material of this product is soft and pliable and will be easy on your dogs mouth and gums, it is very difficult to throw straight. I have thrown many different discs in the last four years to my labrador and have found that the simple plastic ones that originate in design to the Wham-o Frisbee are the best flying and most accurate. The main downfall to using these harder plastic discs is that my labrador can chew them up relatively easily. I tend to not leave him alone with them and only allow him to play with them when I am actually throwing it for him. They last much longer this way. These plastic frisbees are also very cheap. I think Petsmart sells them for 99 cents a piece. One other thing to consider is that if it is slightly windy, a more heavy duty disc designed to withstand chewing is better because they tend to be more heavy and are less affected by the wind. However, there are better brands than the Aerobie, such as the Kong or Nylabone, if you desire a more weighted disc. These heavier discs require a little more effort to throw and tend to fall back to earth alot faster giving less air time. Best Dog Disc Ever If you are looking for a disc that your dog will love and which is "almost" indestructible , this is the one. I would certainly recommend the Dogobie Disc to anyone who loves their dogs. Soft, longlasting and they fly great! Thanks Aerobie! Dog loves it, I love how it lasts As a previous reviewer noted, it probably doesnt fly well enough for a frisbee professional, but its our favorite of all the brands weve tried. First, its rubbery, not hard plastic, so it doesnt get cracked or scored-with-dirt-rubbed-in - and it floats. Second, it lasts and lasts - even why she finds it and chews on it little damage is done. She did finally manage to chew the center right out of one when I left her unattended with it, but in general this brand stays around much longer than any others Ive had. Even the one with the doughnut hole in the center still is being used although it flies a little "unusually". Third - she loves picking it up. She either gets it by the raised edge or even grabs it right from the middle and bends it in half like a pita. (Thats how she got the doughnut hole in it!) The soft rubber is gentler on her mouth as she runs back at top speed, too. Fourth - the price is right! I resent paying $10 or more for something that may just end up in the upper branches of a tree. Our dog loves them! These have been the longest lasting discs that we have found. We have a border collie and he loves to play catch, so it gets a lot of use. These are easy to catch and carry for the dog and easy to throw for my husband. Also, the yellow seems to be easy for him to find! TM Disc Soft, pliable rubber so its soft on my dogs mouth. He loves itand he rates it a five!!!!! Better than a regular frisbee. not that great.. so.. Im pretty unimpressed... this disc is hard to throw.. it has to be dead flat or it will slice quickly... I havent been able to throw it as far as a flippy flopper or flying squirrel yet... of all the toys my dog has played with so far, this is the hardest one for him to pick up.. Im fairly dissappointed... I didnt buy it on amazon and the company I did buy it from censors their reviews.. so I thought Id put the word out on an impartial site |
