  Paw Naturaw Organic Chicken Diet, 12-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 12) By: Paw Naturaw Average Rating: 5.0 Total Reviews: 11 More Information Organic raw food with ground bones for calcium  On: 2008-11-02Some raw dog foods add calcium in the form of a supplement only but this food adds it in the found of ground bones, which, from what I have read, is the best way. It also ensures that there is lots of glucosamine and chondriten. Also, my dogs really love this food. It thaws completely in the refrigerator in less than 20 hours and is easy to serve. I cut the cinched end off with scissors and then scoop out what I need. To make it stretch I mix in some dehydrated raw dog food (like The Honest Kitchen). **Dont mix raw food with dry kibble. They digest at drastically different speeds so this can cause stomach upset. If you are going to feed some kibble make it a different meal and separate the two by at least 6 hours. If you are looking for a good kibble go to www.dogfoodanalysis.com. However, a frozen raw or dehydrated raw is going to be nutritious and palatable for your dog. Its good to supplement this diet with some raw meaty bones like chicken necks. I give my dogs one or two every day or every other day. Raw chicken necks are also OK. For my Jack Russell Terrier I give her the smaller bones and cut the two bones apart to make it easier to eat. Love this product! On: 2008-10-10Having just moved to a rural town I was no longer able to find raw food for my dogs. I had to start feeding canned and home cooked which resulted in huge poops and large amounts of gas. When I found this product I was skeptical, but Ive ordered it twice now and both times it arrived completely frozen even though it was close to 100 degrees outside. Beyond that, the quality of Paw Naturaw is better than most other raw frozen products on the market since it is organic. As soon as I switched back to raw my dogs gas went away and their poops went back to being small since there is very little waste associated with such a high quality diet. For anyone that doesnt alredy feed raw, I highly recommend it as it can rid your dog of many ailments associated with commercial pet foods. My dogs havent been to the vet in years and they are in peak health. The extra money spent on the food is saved by not having to pay expensive vet bills and fill your dog with medications that have nasty side effects. I highly recommend Paw Naturaw and will be feeding it to my dogs exclusively. Annie's supper  On: 2008-09-18Annies is our special Boston Terrier. The food has reduced her gasseyness by 98% and on the 2% happenings it doesnt clear the room. It has also improved her coat.The only complaint we have is it that is too expensive for our 110 lbs Rottie that can eat just about anything and thrive. He was raised on a raw Diet until he was 7 and we had ER were we had to board him for a 2 weeks, so he got switched to a high quality kibble and he did well, so it stuck at third of the price of raw. It is good food, we would recommend this for the small dog sector. Tuffy woofs this food down! On: 2008-09-13I had been searching for raw organic chicken for my 5 lb Pomeranian since 3 of my herbalists said that was the proper diet for him. I came across Paw Naturaw and I am amazed that my 9 1/2 yr old dog woofed it down from the first serving and I dont have to add cheese or anything to get him to eat it. Im going to try some of the treats on him to get him off the chemical treats that say "real flavor". Next week, Im going to order another box of the chicken for Tuffy. Great Stuff!! On: 2008-08-01Ive been feeding my yorkie with organic kibbles. Lately, she lost her interest in her food so I was looking for some change. I was very skeptical about raw food, but then after researching and reading all the reviews,I thought I would give it a shot. I was amazed how fast and well Amazon shipped the item not to mention the great price. When they arrived, they were as hard as rocks! First day, my dog wasnt so happy about her new food, but then shortly after the first day, she gets so excited about her food and she goes around circles 10 times (my dog expresses her happiness by going around circles). Im glad I found something thats so good and affordable for my dog. Thanks, Amazon. Im sure Ill be back. The dogs love it! On: 2008-07-31My picky dogs all went nuts over this food. I think they are trying to figure hout how to open the freezer door on their own! Better than homemade! On: 2008-07-30I used this as a transition before I started making it fresh. For good, organic ingredients, I had to run all over town and it was about the same cost. After the 2nd time he choked, I decided to come back to Paw Naturaw. The chicken has more omegas than any other food on the market (raw or kibble). My dog goes crazy for this stuff!! Dogs love it. On: 2008-07-19I have 2 English Bulldogs and I have been supplementing their regular food with 1/4 of a tube of Paw Natural each day. The dogs have mild hot spots and I was hoping the raw food may help with that. It has not, but the dogs absolutely love the taste of the raw food so I continue feeding them a little. I cant be too critical or positive of the raw food as my dogs are not on the raw diet only.. Great find! On: 2008-06-30My Boston Terriers love this food and it seems to have eliminated a lot of the coat problems/allergies my one girl was suffering from before...I highly recommend it. As a health research consultant, I have known for a while the health benefits of raw food for both me and my dogs. Either the cost was exorbitant or the shipping made it less than feasible...this is a great find as it is packed exceptionally well and the cost is reasonable. My Dog Loves It! On: 2008-04-21I have a 14-month-old active Border Collie in good health. I was feeding her a quality wheat-free dry kibble but she did not always warm to the dry stuff. She loves the raw chicken food! (The cat loves it too and crowds into the dogs bowl at meal time.) I mix the raw with the dry kibble to stretch it a little farther. I noticed almost immediately after starting on the raw food my dog was more calm and receptive to training. (She is a rescue and was never trained before I adopted her.) At the same time her energy level is up, her coat has a greater shine and she sleeps better at night. The Paw Natural has a good basic ingredient list. If you cant or dont want to assemble your own raw food, this is a great way to go. I would have tried the Steves Real Food brand raw food (because my mother has been using it for years with her Border Collies) but it is not available locally. The Paw Natural is less expensive and with Amazon free shipping is a great deal. I live in Miami, Florida and the first package of 12 rolls arrived via 2nd-day UPS shipping from Kentucky with the dry ice completely evaporated but the rolls still frozen rock hard, despite the Miami heat. Now, if I can only keep the cat out of this stuff. The BEST choice On: 2008-02-22When I decided to switch my dogs diet to raw, I picked this brand and despite all the good reviews online I did not think that I would see such good results and so quickly. If you have time to cook for your dogs then do so at home, but if not then this is one of the best raw diets to choose from. I want to say though, that I had a healthy energetic pit bull to being with, and no issues with weight. However, within three days, I started noticing an even more energetic dog. In only one month he began developing into a much leaner muscular dog, who just loves his food. Its been an amazing transition, and I highly suggest it. Wow! $$$$$  On: 2007-12-28This sounds like a fantastic product, has great ingredients, and well formulated. Organic is great! However, it would cost me $18/day to feed the poultry blend to my three dogs. I cant afford that! I am currently spending $1/day in meat, and $1/day in veggies, grains and supplements. I love my dogs, but I cant spend $540/month when I usually spend $60. Sorry! |
