Too Small

The construction of this product is very good, however it is too small to fit your pet in comfortably under the airline seat unless you have a 3lb pet. I have a 7 pound chihuahua which flys with me often and he could barely fit in this carrier because the back angles down taking away from the space, also with the pad inside took away even more space. If this carrier did not angle down in the back and was maybe an inch or 2 longer it would be the perfect airline carrier.

Stylish hot box

The carrier is well made and looks great. However, if you plan to transport your best friend for more than a few minutes, he/she may smother! It would have been a much nicer design if the back of the carrier was mesh too.

When measured, this carrier actually is only 13" deep. BEWARE. It is not meant for anything more than a tiny tiny dog or a kitten. My cats stuck out of the back end of it trying to get in. Im trying to transport cats on a plane and the small was the only one in the line that is "airline approved". Its a serious bummer. Im trying the Aero next. Lets see how that goes.

The construction quality was top notch, however - like a fine piece of luggage.

Strong Structural Design - Airline & Pet Friendly Carrier

This is one of the best and coolest soft pet carrier we have ever seen and used. Very well structured and roomy for small pets. We own 2 Vet in PA, and this product was first introduced by our client. We bought 2 for our staffs in the clinic and traveled with ferrets, rabbits, cats and dogs to NY, IL, and TX without any problem. 3 windows give ventilation from different directions unlike other pet carriers. Double layer mesh windows prevent nails hook on holes of mesh, yet the air floatation is never an issue. Suggestions to new pet owners from us: Make sure the mesh windows are allowing enough ventilation through carriers from different directions. It is very important because some flight attendants will ask you to keep your pets inside the carrier all time during the flight. With the durable structural design, it protects the pets from injured by squeezing or bumping by accident while underneath the seat. We have never seen pet carriers with heavy duty hooks & comfortable straps. This carrier is highly recommended to those heavy travelers with pets. We give this carrier 5+ stars and 2 paws up!

Warning : Nice Bag - but it's not 1 pound as described.

I ordered this bag to carry my pet onboard an aircraft, When I read the description I assumed it was Ultra-Light, A one pound bag.... After I got the bag I weighed it at the airport and discovered its approx. 4 pounds! - Again its a great bag, But the Airline companies have weight restrictions. - Be warned if your pet is close to the weight limit this may not be the right bag for you.

I frequent a few dog forums and Id been hearing some excellent reviews on Teafco products. I was a bit hesitant to buy because the price is a little high but the old saying, You get what you pay for, rings true here.

The Petascope is extremely well made (I assume all Teafco products carry the same level of quality.) The hardware on the carrier is made from metal, not plastic and the outside is easily cleaned with a wet rag. The strap is very cushioned and doesnt dig into your shoulder. My dog is pretty lightweight but I can see this being a huge benefit to someone with a heavier pup. The inside is lined with felt which provides cushion not only on the bottom of the carrier but on the sides as well. Theres also a pocket on the back to put a small water bottle or some treats. I also like the dual mesh. The first layer is a wire mesh which wont rip if sharp claws or nails come into contact with it. Even a persistent dog wouldnt be able to escape. The second is just a soft fabric mesh. While you cant see into the carrier, your pet can see out. Some may not like that you cannot see inside but I prefer it if Im traveling. This way small children or even adults arent constantly asking to look at the doggy in the carrier. It stresses my dog out even more when people are fawning over her.

A huge plus is the selection of colors. Almost all of the more practical carriers out there are plain black or tan and look like a regular piece of luggage. The Petascope not only has a very cool design but is very fashion forward at the same without sacrificing durability or quality. You can buy a "fashion" carrier from the pet store but I guarantee it wont have the same great quality. Overall I love this carrier and I will definitely be recommending it to all of my friends at the dog park.

good carrier

Its sturdy, its cool looking, it doesnt make that noise when you carry it or move it that warns kitty its cage time. I just wish it was a LITTLE bit larger - but I also have a very large cat so most would have plenty of room.

This is a great product for the money. Its the sturdiest "soft" carrier I have ever seen. Much nicer than some that are MUCH more expensive AND it only weighs a pound. The padding is well protected in case of "accidents" yet comfortable for the critter. Just about everyone at the vets office has commented on how nice it is and asked where I bought it so they could reccommend it to others. You cant go wrong with this carrier.

Not a safe product

I purchased this product to take my Papillon on an airplane. I put him in it and within a minute he was panting. There wasnt enough airflow for him to be in there for a lengthy amount of time. I feared he would suffocate. I also didnt like that I couldnt see him in the carrier. He could see me but because of the double mesh that they use in this product, you cant see inside. I also think the double mesh restricts the airflow. I returned the item and bought a Sherpa pet carrier which was perfect for our trip.

Great Little Bag

This is a great little bag for the money. I had a Sherpa bag before, but it didnt provide the degree of protection as this one. This is especially true if you plan on placing the bag with pet inside under the seat in front of you. Holds its shape well even when carried with shoulder strap.

This is a great product. You can put a cat or dog in it. My cat loves it! Its roomy and affordable! Most of all its airline appproved!

cool & sporty carrier

This is perfect for the ones who are always on the go, just like myself. Very portable to take my pet around for everyday errands. It has comfy padding for my little one and durable shoulder strap. The overall functionally is great. I would recommend it.
