Great cooling bed

I have an older Shepherd with a fair amount of arthritis. At night he used to get into the shower cubicle to keep cool - but I was concerned that the floor was too hard for him. So I purchased the K&H Cool Bed 3 Large Cool Cover Bolster Sheet, Cappuccinoand he loves it! He also seemed to be less stiff in the morning. The bolster is a little flimsy and one of better quality would improve the product a great deal.

Keeps my ailing doggie cool and comfy

My dog has an autoimmune disease which causes sore joints. She was on high-dose prednisone for awhile, which caused her to pant heavily and seek cool areas of the house. So I purchased this bed -- with the bolster pillow -- in order to provide a comfortable, cool spot for her.

It took a bit of time to entice her to use it, since the water motion freaked her initially. But by occasionally putting her treats on the bed, eventually she got used to it. Now she sleeps there often.

I keep the bed in an enclosed, unheated porch, and in our northern climate, the bed is consistently cool. We havent yet got into hot summer temperatures, but I expect when that happens the bed wont be quite as cool. It needs to be kept out of direct sunlight, of course.

Ive heard from other dog-owners that their dogs wouldnt use cooling beds like this, which made me hesitant to purchase one. Maybe they bought other brands, I dont know. But I highly recommend this bed, especially for dogs who need a cool, cushioned surface to be comfortable.

very nice bed, dog loves it. Its easy to vaccum. A silkier cover would be nice since we hear the dog scratching it, but over all a great bed that keeps him cool.
