great product when used properly

This product is very easy to use and the transmitter fits extremely well in the hand when walking the dog. If your dog is in the training stage, this is a must have product. The "nick" feature is the most important feature and doesnt harm the dogs at all. I set the variable shock strength to about 50% so the nick is just enough for my dogs to feel it through their fur.

What to expect: At the beginning of use, the dogs reaction to the nick is of complete surprise and a short yelp. Once the dog realizes the nick is associated to bad behavior, they become extremely manageble. After a short period of use, I find myself rarely using the Dogtra product. The key is to be consistent when using this product. If my golden retreiver is getting unruly, he instantly changes his behavior for the better once I put the Dogtra collar on him and a nick isnt necessary.
