![]() Bamboo Dog De-Sedding Comb By: Bamboo Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information Seems to be just as good as the Furminator At a puppy training session our instructor pulled out a FURminator and started brushing my St. Bernard mix puppy who was shedding horribly because it was Spring. I was amazed at the amount of fur she was getting out since I had been grooming her with a shedding blade (she tolerates) and a slicker brush (she hates because it scratches). I thought I would buy one for myself until I found the price tag, verrry pricey $$$$. When I found the Bamboo dog de-shedding comb I took a look at the blade and it seems almost identical to the Furminator blade. The major difference is the handle, or lack-there-of on the Bamboo. The Bamboos palm grip is a little more ackward to hold at the proper brushing angle without the long extension handle, but for the price difference Ill get over it (or eventually rig up my own handle.) Id give it a rating of five if they had a long handle on it. Pros: gets out the loose undercoat, affordable Cons: no extension handle I have to add that I do not detect it cutting any of her hair, only removing shed hair. And always read the instructions that come with any grooming product. This de-shedding blade is not for breeds that do not shed or shed very little. |
