Good value for money     On: 2008-09-23

Its much better than the battery-driven trimmer I used to trim my dog. Only issue notice is that the blade became very hot in short while (about 5-10 min). My dog, a King Charles Cavalier became sensitive due to the heat. Good to have another ceramic blade, as its much cooler (about 75%)

Overall, its a very good clipper. Highly recommended.

Good value purchase     On: 2008-05-19

I considered purchasing a higher end Andis clipper set, but settled on this one. Ive only used them once, but they cut really well. I used the clippers to groom my Maltese, which has really thin hair. The cheaper clippers just wont cut that fine hair. These did a great job, but the blade does get pretty hot. I would recommend using guards for your pets.
Great for first time at home groomers     On: 2007-06-12

I bought this clipper for our cocker spaniel. I wanted to learn to shave him myself to save money on taking him to a groomer every two weeks. So far I have used it on him 3 times without any problems. It is pretty quiet and was easy for me to use on him from the start. There are 4 blade attachments but I generally use the shortest on him for an all over cut. (Im not trying to do anything fancy with it.) He is getting more used to it and each time I get faster with it. I definately recommend it for beginners.
