Not for chewing     On: 2008-12-01

I bought this for my 100# pit mix and he loves it. I do not use it as a regular kong for a chew festival but for more fetch and roughhousing games. For this it is durable and fun, just take that into account.
The absolute BEST     On: 2008-11-23

Coming from the mom of 3 LARGE, HEAVY chewers...

This absolutely has to be one of the best toys ever. I gave it to my 4 year old German Shepherd, and he hasnt put it down yet.
squeaker broke but a big hit     On: 2008-11-06

I bought this for my sons 1 yr old daschund. She spends weekends with me and I wanted to have some toys for her at my place. All I had at my place weere cat toys. Up until I bought this thing for her my cats mouse-go-round was her favorite toy. She loves the kong but the squeaker broke within a 1/2 an hour. Once she gave up on trying to make it squeak she loved it. She is a bit of a chewer and has gone through most of my cat nip toys. The kong has so far held up to her chewing. She loves for me to slap he with a few times and then throw it.
$10 for 1 hour not worth it!!!     On: 2008-10-02

My puggle River loved this toy. I could see how excited she was but within an hour she had ripped the fabric and torn the little ball all to shreds. It was definitely not worth the money!!!

This product needs to be more durable!!!
Very Pleased     On: 2008-10-01

My medium sized lab loves the product, she will play with herself, me, or even visting dogs. It has not torn and they love it.
Favorites for my boys     On: 2008-09-21

My two German Shepherds love tugging and tossing these toys. My collie is older, but she likes them ,too. She is more inclined to lie in a corner chomping one until it squeeks and attracts the boys to come steal it and wrestle over it. She and I, as two old ladies, watch their lunacy and chuckle indulgently over our silly lads. I keep several around the house. The older ones are more tattered, but they hold up remakably well under the rough play of large dogs.
A 48-hour toy     On: 2008-09-16

I love Kong products, and my 3 1/2 month old Shepherd/Chow certainly LOVED this Wubba, but he ate through it in 48 hours, so I cant recommend it.
Lasted less than 2 hours     On: 2008-09-07

Dog loved it; too much. 11 month old Husky destroyed it in less than an hour. The first "tail" was torn off in about 15 minutes of dedicated effort. The fabric covering the small ball was destroyed and the ball freed in another 15 minutes. removal of tthe small ball killed the squeaky sometime during this process. Paid $10 at the local pet store based on the reviews here. I guess I need to get something covered with chain mail, with solid steel balls; perhaps that will last a couple of days.
A Favorite     On: 2008-08-02

My English Bulldog loves this toy. Shes very hard on her toys and can destroy anything. This toy lasted just over a month, which is a long time for my dog, before she tore up the outer fabric and took out the balls inside. Even though weve thrown away the chewed up balls, she still plays with the fabric shell. Were buying a second one for another month of fun.
Dogs love this toy!     On: 2008-07-30

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend (it was her dogs favorite toy) and my two love it! A strong chewer will eventually start to shred the fabric if allowed to do so, but it is way more durable than most other toys Ive bought. It helps that my boxer mixes also primarily play with it together (chase or tug). Also, this version does have a squeaker, but the snuggle version (not as durable) does not if noisy toys bother you.
Kong Wubba almost a perfect toy!     On: 2008-07-12

Callie, my 3 lb Yorkshire terrier, has been diligently working at killing this toy for 2 months now. Yorkies were originally bred for killing rats. Callie must have very good breeding as she will work at killing a squeaky until it squeaks no more. Usually it lasts no more than a couple of hours.
I admit the Wubba now has a few threads hanging out but it is structurally intact. I love that there is no fluffy stuffing. Once Callie hits fluffy stuffing it is only a matter of minutes before the toy is emptied and no more fun. Kudos to Kong, the Wubba reigns victorious!
The dog's favorite!     On: 2008-03-18

This is by far my dogs favorite toy. Also one of the most durable toys out there. He destroys everything we give him, but the Wubba outlasts them all.
NOT for Jack Russell Terrier LASTED 15 MINUTES     On: 2008-03-04

Mix One (1) Jack Russell Terrier age 9 with One (1) Kong Wubba and there is trouble. Appeared durable in store. However, we quickly found the Kong Wubba isnt a Kong at all! It was a miniature tennis ball which was torn from the upper portion within 10-15 minutes. Then later the bottom of the ball was a blue ball. It quickly had a large hole in it and now, the Kong Wubba is just cloth! The rest had to be thrown out. Also we noticed two hardnesses variations with models at the store. We have found the quality is inconsistent from item to item. THUMBS DOWN for Jack Russell and Wubba Kong. However, I believe if our household only had a Yorkshire Terrier, this would be a good product.
Great service/great toy     On: 2008-02-24

I got great service and the toy was exactly what I expected! I would buy from the seller again. This is my dogs second wubba, she had the other one for a long time (for her)three months if I remember right, she chews the heck out of everything. The toy has so many options, she can chew it, squeek it(she loves that),and tug it. Even after the top of the first one she had came apart we were able to continue to use it, for a month after! My parents have a small one for their rat terrier and she loves it and doesnt chew much, so it still looks brand new!!
Very Durable     On: 2008-01-31

My wife and I have an extremely playful 1 1/2 year old pit bull mix. He loves playing fetch and tugging on ropes, but would destroy his toys in less than a day. She bought him one of these for Christmas and I was worried that the fabric would have been ripped instantly, but I was wrong. He has been playing with the toy for over a month now and loves it. I dont have time to get outside and play with him every day, but he will play with the Wubba for hours all by himself, slinging it around and throwing it by himself and still not a single rip or tear. We highly recommend the Kong Wubba for "aggresive" players.
great dog toy     On: 2008-01-29

Kong Wubba toys are among the few that our year old yellow lab doesnt destroy in no time flat. He loves to toss it, play tug of war with it, and yes, eventually he does get the legs chewed off--it is no easy feat and takes at least several month to get them all off. But then, his next challenge is to get the casing off of the two balls inside, which takes at least another few months--all the while enjoying the great sounds this toy makes. I highly recommend the XL Kong Wubba for a big, active, dog who loves to chew and play.
Great tug toy     On: 2008-01-23

I marvel at all the reviews saying it didnt hold up to chewers. My two German Sheperds dont chew that much, but theyve been playing tug of war with two Wubbas for months. Each has lost one leg and has had to be laundered a couple of times. Otherwise they are still in one piece and still have their balls and squeekers inside. Most toys only hold up a few minutes with those two boys. Ive been very impressed. I think they not only look tough, they are tough.
Great Toy     On: 2008-01-19

Great toy for large dogs. Takes a lot to destroy this toy. Dont know what it is about this toy, but its one of our dogs favorites. Only down-side would be that I didnt know when I bought it that there is a "squeaker" inside it. Not only a squeaker, but a two-tone almost off-key squeaker. Our dog plays with this a lot and loves to make it squeak, but the squeaker can get on your nerves. It is somewhat annoying and loud. Best use is to take it with you to the dog park and let all the dogs play with it. Then its invaluable!

second one bought     On: 2008-01-08

I love this toy and so do the dogs. The great thing is it last a long time before they can tear it up and get the squeeky out of it. My big dog treats it like a baby and it is easy to throw and play with it with him.....
Does NOT stand up to the "KONG Dog Toy Reputation"     On: 2007-12-27

I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy (only 6 months old) who I purchased a Regular Kong Wubba (not the Puppy Kong Wubba) for this evening at a local pet store. Unfortunately in under ONLY ONE HOUR OF USE of use (1) The tail has started to fray in many places; and (2) he has already tore out over 50% of the stitches out of the top ball and its now almost falling out (just give him one more hour).

I thought this KONG product would stand up to his latest chewing interest, but I was completely wrong. I mostly disappointed as nothing on the products packaging told me that this would not hold up to even a small dogs chewing.

And while Im not completely upset with this purchase as Ive learned recently that most dog toy purchases are "caveat emptor", I am disappointed at how fast this Kong product failed to last. Traditionally the KONG name means VERY SOLID quality dog products to me but not this time.

Recommened only for dogs that chew very gently.
Go get your wubba!     On: 2007-12-14

Our Lhasa and Yorkie absolutely love this toy as well! Its their favorite by leaps and bounds. Im ordering another one as a spare for when they manage to lose Wubba #1
My Dog Loves her Wubba     On: 2007-12-07

My dog loves her wubba! We both love to play fetch with it. Its easy for me to throw and easy for her to grab. Its also one of the only toys that has held up to her sharp little teeth.
Not Extremely Durable     On: 2007-12-05

I just bought a Wubba for my 9-month old Dobie mix last night, and she loves it...she played with it for two hours straight. However, she already ate through the outer fabric on top (I can see the green ball inside) and starting eating the fringes. So, Im going to have to throw it away tonight. Its too bad that the material isnt more durable. I would highly recommend this toy ONLY for dogs that dont typically destroy their toys and like to chew and eat non-food items.
poorly made     On: 2007-12-03

my 6m old lab puppy loved this toy. it lasted for max 10min. She chewed off the cover, which exposed the little ball on top (it is not a kong, as i had thought. there are 2 balls on top of eachother). the smaller ball is way too small for large breed dogs, and i immediately took it away because i was afraid she was going to choke on it. i do not recommend this toy if you have a chewer because you will be wasting your money.
Kong Wubba Review     On: 2007-11-26

This is the only product we have found that our miniature schnauzer cant destroy in under 5 minutes. He loves it and since we cant find it in stores anymore, we are thrilled it is still available online.
Wubba Kong Raving review     On: 2007-09-12

We got my dog (a 2 year old German Sheppard) a Wubba Kong toy. Now my dog destroys just about any toy bought for him including toys that say "indestructable" He really does not know the meaning of that. Needless to say most of his toys look like road kill. Well, The Wubba Kong has lasted 3 times as long as most all of his toys and I am buying two more. I highly recommend this toy and actually have recommended it for other dogs who like to play tug of war and that also make noise. Even the Squeeker lasted 3x longer than his other toys, which again only last a matter of minutes.
Our 4 dogs love this toy     On: 2007-08-30

We have 4 very active, large dogs who also love to chew. For some reason they just love to play with this one and havent chewed it up at all. They toss it themselves but love it most when we throw it. Its so easy to throw far too! They play tug-o-war with it and it seems to stand up to it very well. Good value for the money.
Hubba Hubba Wubba     On: 2007-08-23

My big dog just goes crazy over this toy. She will even flip it around and play all by herself, but mostly it is a retrieving toy. There are 2 balls encased in the heavy nylon fabric, one is hollow and produces a squeaker noise that is loud and sounds like 3 different tones at once. I really like this toy because it stands up to very hard tug games. My dog isnt a chewer but I still pick it up and put it away after playtime just in case.
not bad     On: 2007-08-11

I dont know what it is with daschunds but it took my mini daschund very little time to chew through this. Like someone said it looked strong but didnt last long at all. If you have a semi chewer dog itd be perfect.
Build Strong     On: 2007-07-26

I love this toy, it is strong and does not bust or rip when trown around. I can have my dog hang on one end and pull hard and heavy. No ripping to tearing what so ever. I see some complaints about dog chewing it appart. Quite honest those will chew up anything, and no toy would be fool proof for them. Plush animal toys rip in no times compared to this. Ive taught my dogs not to destroy toys, but they all did it to some extent when they were young. They now know that raw hides are better and they do not get into trouble for shredding those. The outer part is made of heavy nylon, and the inner ball must be heavy rubber (judged from smell and weight). Anyway, its a great toy.
Great toy     On: 2007-07-24

Not sure what it is, maybe the unique squeaker, but my puppy loves this thing....and squeaks it a lot. My puppy is not destructive on her toys (things not her toys is another matter), but thinking about it, the toy does not seem to be durable for dogs that like to tear their toys up. After the other reviews comments, I decided to add to the durability factor - but for my dog, after a washing, it looks like new. I do have plans to get the X-large one for my dog, as she is outgrowning the large. 60# dog and growing. It also makes a reasonable tug, as she usually grabs the ball part, and not the tails.

WUBBA FUN!!!!!     On: 2007-07-20

OUR DOG LOVES THIS TOY...SHE THROWS IN THE AIR CATCHES IT AND PLAYS WITH THIS FOR A LONG TIME!!! SHES EVEN TAKEN IT WITH HER TO BED AND HOLDS IT IN HER PAWS....HOW CUTE!
Dog loves this toy     On: 2007-07-13

This is my labs favorite toy. We play tug and fetch with it, and he gets so excited when he sees me take it out.

I only gave it three stars because after two short periods of play he had torn all of the nylon "streamers" off of it and even swallowed one whole. I dont usually let him play with toys unattended, but he didnt need much time to chew them off. It SEEMS like a very durable toy, but if youve got a power chewer this may not be the toy for you.

We will continue to use it without the straps as a squeaky toy or fetch toy.
Love the Wubba     On: 2007-07-05

My golden retriever loves his Kong Wubba! He is not much of a chewer, so its remained in good shape. I definitely wouldnt recommend it for a heavy chewer or unsupervised play with a dog who likes to chew toys. Its got a great squeaker and our dog just loves the floppy "legs". Fun for him to play with on his own and for interactive play. I definitely recommend this toy.
Just Not Durable     On: 2007-06-29

My Boston Terrier *loved* this toy, for the seven minutes it lasted. Sadly, it could not stand up to his chewing, and fell apart rather quickly. This is definitely not a toy for a dog thats going to want to chew, or be rough with it. If its just going to be used for catch and the like, I think it would be a good purchase, but otherwise, itll just end up being a waste of money.
This toy is one of the greatest!     On: 2007-06-26

I have three Jack Russell Terriers and they haven`t stopped playing with the *wubba. I got it originlly for pool play for them but my littlest one even brings it to bed with her. I had to get two more (for a backup). They even know what the *wubba is...whenever I ask them where their *wubba is they bring it to me without fail. If I had to speak for them I think they would give this toy 5 paws up!!
Wubbas need Wuv - NOT Chewing     On: 2007-06-08

This was not for a dog that wants to chew, and chew and chew....
Maybe one that wants to just take it to bed and wuv it.
I was disappointed and so was my dog. Well, maybe he wasnt. He did kill it...so he did do what nature intended him to do. But the toy didnt last long like I expected it to.
My dog loved it too much.     On: 2007-05-21

Looked tough. My 15 pound Dachshund had the top ripped open in 5 minutes
and the tennis ball contained within, mangled. It was great fun but short
lived. Of course, Mugsy IS a monster.
My Dogs Love These.     On: 2007-05-10

I have one of every size for my dogs they all love them. They enjoy them in the water as well. This makes a great toy for puppy packages. As a breeder I like to send my puppies to their new homes with their first toys which is usually puppy Kongs, but I will be sending them with Wubbas also. I highly recommend these for play time to help bond with your pet.
