![]() OraVet Treatments - 8 x 2.5 mL By: OraVet Plaque Prevention Gel Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 7 More Information Great results in Clinic Making the gums dry works wonder to help the gel stick to the teeth. In fact they will feel "squeaky" and waxy afterward when the pet has had a chance to try to get some of it off. What works best for me and the clients at my clinic is finding an applicator that works for you! I hate the applicators that come with it... in fact I think its faster and easier to use my fingers before my dog has her tongue all over the place. A little gauze or cotton ball works great for others. Our vets also warm up the gel by putting the cartridge into warm/hot water before opening it for use -- this will make the wax more of a liquid goo and it works just as well (but again you have to make sure it sticks by making the gums dry... try wiping the top surface dry of one side, applying, and then going on to the other sides) I hope this helps... I really do like this product a lot :) its non-toxic, has no none side effects, and less time consuming yet it still does justice by pet home dental care standards! Even our holistic doctors love this stuff -- and there are safety studies and efficacy research to back up the products claims :) If anyone has any issues using it just ask your vet! Trust me... they will be thrilled you are taking care of your pets teeth (I apply this in the clinic for our clients ALL the time with a big ol smile!) OraVet Treatment for Dogs I have been using this on my dogs teeth for almost a year now. When his teeth are cleaned again next year, well see if it is worth it. Easy to use and my pet likes having his teeth "brushed". Got so expensive from the vet, this is wonderful to be able to get online at a much more resonable price. How can you tell it's working?? How can you tell it this stuff is working? It gets all gummy and doesnt stay where I put it. It just rolls around on the little foam tipped instrument that comes with it for application. It doesnt stay on my dogs teeth because it doesnt come off the applicator It seems kind of futile and useless. Any advice on how to apply it? Save dogs teeth This product was advised by our vet to assist in slowing down the decay of teeth in our dog. Once a week waxing on the teeth and daily brushing as well as getting our dogs teeth cleaned when needed has been great for bad breath too. I recommend. OraVet works well Gel a little too thick, thgey had this in europe for years about we had it here Keep those teeth plaque free! This product really appears to work as long as you absolutely use it every week, which is what the vet said. So far (almost 1 year), so good! easy way to care for teeth the vet recommends this product its easy to use on my toy poodle im not sure its helping it definitely doesnt help his breath |
