There are issues with the shoes staying on as well but that is a concern with all dog shoes. I had several dogs try these shoes on all kinds of outdoor and indoor surfaces and they slip around alot. The rubber sole is too stiff especially outdoors in cooler temperatures. The only place it provides traction is on gravel. As a veterinarian I would never recommend this product to a weak or lame dog.
