![]() Greenies Treats for Dogs Monster Treat-Pak 107 Teenie, 30 Ounce By: Greenies Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 9 More Information Lowest Price on Chewable Greenies for Dogs I cant find anywhere a great price on this item: 107 Teenie Chewable Greenies 30 oz. I have searched many sites and found this one to be the cheapest. If you find it cheaper, Id like to know where. Tootsie Bear loves this treat (and it fights the tartar). My dog refuses to let me brush her teeth, so I look for other ways to keep her teeth and mouth healthly. I had her teeth professionaly cleaned and saw the tartar and plaque reoccuring within months. I purhased the Greenies in bulk to offset the price, and we are both happy with the arrangement! She will do a double take when I as her if it is time for a Greenie and I have noticed an improvement in her teeth. I look for the best deal and plan on keeping this product available to her. My vet says these are fine and my dog loves them My vet (at a world famous vet hospital in the Boston area) said greenies were ok. Heres the basic deal - There are incidents of dogs choking and dying over greenies, rawhide, natural bones, rubber balls, toys ... just about everything - Greenies gets a lot of press because its an established company - theres someone for mourning owners to blame and sue - but thats the only reason greenies gets singled out. We love our dogs, of course, and it just takes one or two people to tell the world their heart wrenching stories, and then you think its an epedemic. - overall the risks are very very very low. Its a handful of cases over millions and millions of dogs. And the risk of rawhide is not lower than greenies. - Moreso, dogs need to chew on something like rawhide or greenies. Tooth health is also critical to dog health. Dogs die early due to poor nutrition if their teeth decay too young. And thats what will happen if you dont give your dog chewable treats like greenies or rawhide or natural bone - their teeth will decay and fall out before their time. So overall, your dog needs bones/chews for long term health. The risk of greenies is the same as the risk of rawhide and is less than 1 in 100,000 or anything close to that. But the risk your dog faces if you deny her/him things like this are much higher because they need it for tooth health. nothing better My puppy used to have bad breath until we started using this product. Although it is pretty pricey, it is well worth it. Dogs absolutely love it! We only noticed its efficacy, when we stop noticing my dogs breath. Highly recommend it for dogs with bad breath. Big canister!! Perfect! I have four dogs and they love Greenies! I ordered two of these canisters and I feel its a real money saver since I go through four Greenies every night before they go to bed! Its a good quality canister too that is easy to open yet air tight. Order for Greenies Treats for Dogs Our dogs love these Greenies, and "teeny" Greenies are often hard to come by, so I was pleased when I saw that they were offered thru this vendor. I felt that the price was a good deal, too. The Greenies were very well packaged and arrived promptly. I will use this vendor again because of the excellent service. P.T. Portland, OR deadly 1.0 out of 5 stars Dangerous and Deadly, May 25, 2006 I have two beagles who love to chew, and greenies are highly compressed which woule make it a good optionfor my dogs. However because they are so highly compressed they are deadly. There is an overwhelming amount of research that proves they are not digestible, and do not break down. Numerous dogs have died from chocking and internal blockages. Luckily this was brought to my attention before I purchased any. It really doesnt matter how much your dogs like them, statistically you dog would have an excellent chance of becoming seriously injured or worse. If keeping your dog busy is the goal try a kong or a "busy ball". My dogs play with their kong and similar toys for hours or until they are too tired to play anymore. Additionally some busy balls let you record a message that is played when the ball is moved, even slightly, which also helps with separation anxiety. If you want to treat your dog to something in the way of food, almost anything you can think of is safer than a greenie. Also please note....there are many greenie knockoffs. If the treat is shaped and molded or looks like plastic, has fine details showing the company name or other designs, it is in fact a molded treat. Anything this highly compressed is absolutely deadly. While even rawhide carries some of the same risks because it is so durable...it is a MUCH safer alternative to greenies. I am actually surprised amazon even sells this product, and would go as far as suggesting to amazon users to petition them to stop selling it. A Yummy Dessert I decrease my Welsh Terriers meal serving slightly and give him a Greenie as dessert. My thinking being, it will clean his teeth after meals. The 107 teenies (and free shipping) prove the theory that buying in quantity lowers the per treat price. Favorite Treat For my two cocker spaniels, Greenies are their favorite treat and they are healthy! I use the teenie greenies since one cocker is older and lost some teeth, but she can handle the teenie greenies! This treat also helps with doggie breath! |
