I am very pleased. Its comfortable and easy to put together. Nice seat for little dogs On: 2008-12-22I purchased this for our mini dachshund. I went with the medium sized seat because of his length. He weighs about 10 lbs and fits perfectly in the seat. He has enough room to curl up, or sit up and look out the window. The seat is nicely constructed with a removable liner so washing is easy. The only weakness I see are the straps used to secure the seat. The two straps are kind of thin and the buckle used to keep the strap a certain length is kind of weak. I will be replacing this with a more sturdy strap that stays the length its set to. Overall its good quality for a car seat but keep in mind it is NOT a safety seat. It will not protect your dog in a crash but it is better than letting the dog run loose in the car. Wonderful pet seat.  On: 2008-12-18Could not be more pleased with this seat. My Rat terrier settled right in, looked around for a little and then curled up and slept soundly. He loves to go for rides in it, and it has made traveling so much nicer for us both. If it does not sit "squarly" against the seat, I put the seat lap/shoulder belt under the braces and it is more than secure. A Great Safe Ride for Your Dog On: 2008-12-17The Solvit Deluxe Pet Booster Seat has been a great addition for traveling with our dog. The seat is light weight and very easy to install and remove. The seat fits very snuggly and does not move or shift in the car. The dog loves to ride in it. Since the seat is adjustable in height, it is very easy to position the seat so that the dog can see out of the car window. I also like the fact that the seat liner is washable. It is nice to know that your pet is secure and safe while you are driving. Our dog adjusted to riding in the pet seat very quickly and now expects to be placed in the seat. Solvit Deluxe Pet Booster Seat On: 2008-12-05You really want this seat! I put it in my car yesterday as soon as it arrived and my chihuahua was happier than ever being able to drive around and look out the window on his own rather than standing on my lap! He is 12lbs and he fits sitting, playing with his bone and curled up sleeping. Very well made and you even have the ability to raise the seat or lower it in order to adjust to the height of your car window. I cant wait to go on a long drive just to see his eyes filled with glee because he now has his very own seat right next to the window!! Ruben loves it! On: 2008-12-02I recently purchased this booster car seat for my ten pound maltese/shih tzu pup and he absolutely LOVES it! He can see watch the world go by or he can snuggle up and go to sleep. He seems very comfortable in his new car seat. The only problem I have is when I take the seat out to make room for more human riders, the tubes which support the seat come apart. Then I have to insert them into each other once again before I can attach the seat and snap it into place once again. This is a bit frustrating. But aside from all this, my pup loves his new seat...and I l do too! Happy Chis! On: 2008-11-29My 2 Chihuahuas love riding in the car now and I love taking them with me. They both fit perfectly - one weighs 6 lbs and the other 5 lbs. Now, instead of trying to sit on my lap while Im driving they both stay in their booster seat and its safer for all of us. Safety first On: 2008-11-22This is a great product. I now feel more comfortable with my dog riding in my car. When he is in his booster seat, I feel I am putting both his and my safety first. Great for small dogs! On: 2008-11-20It was easy to install and move from front seat to back seat. The bottom could be more solid, but not really an issue if your dog is small. My puppy loves being able to see out the window. Deluxe pet booster seat On: 2008-11-14This is perfect for my Zuchon and she is 14 lbs. We had the small one first, but she grew out of it. Now my friends will be ordering this one too! Awful Product - Waste of Money  On: 2008-11-04Solvit Deluxe Pet Booster Seat This is a terrible product. Would not rest flush against rear bench-type seat and the front collapsed when my 6 pound dog rested his front paws on it. It is also very small. I bought this because it was cheaper than the Snoozer which Ive used with my other dog for several years. I guess you get what you pay for (or less). Save your money and steer clear of this pet car seat. We love it! On: 2008-10-21My little guy just loves this booster seat! And so do I! I have bucket seats and it fits just fine. Works in the front seat or the back. Now my chi can see the world as it passes us by! The Perfect Car Seat On: 2008-10-18This car seat for small dogs is easy to install and looks great. Its the perfect size for my 7 pound [11 inch long] dog to lie down. I added a furry lap throw to make it softer and elevate the dog a little. When he is lying down he can barely reach up to the edge of the seat to rest his chin and look out. The plaid has a gold strip in it, which looks nice. I think in the description it said "fleece"; its soft, but is regular cloth. This pet booster seat is just okay  On: 2008-10-15I am glad I bought this pet booster seat, but it is not ideal for my needs. It is a little small for my dog,(a miniature dachsund big for his breed) so he can never get quite comfortable. Even though it lifts him up so he can see out the window, he still stands with his feet on the edge of the basket trying to get his nose out the window. This de-stabilizes the basket, and often causes the support pole to come out of its socket, which then pokes the dog. ALSO, it is uncomfortable to install and take out. I thought I would just be able to leave the booster seat in place in the front passenger seat, but that didnt prove practical. Installing the booster involves reaching all the way around the front seat to hook up the strap, which is a pain. But when everything is hooked up properly, the booster seat is at a nice height and relatively stable. Unfortunately, the booster seat doesnt not have any safety features for the dog. There is a strap that you can hook to the dogs collar, but that would probably choke the dog in an accident, not keep him from being flung forward. Another problem, the booster seat installs so high on the car seat that my dog cannot hop into the seat, I have to pick him up and put him in the basket. Bottom line, it is better than nothing, but could be better designed for easier installation and greater stability. Just what I needed! On: 2008-09-25I have a small cat who I have trained to ride in the car. I bought this booster seat for her since I was moving and about to drive for 3 days to our new home. There was no way I was going to put her in a cage for such a long drive. This seat worked perfectly for her! I used a harness instead of a collar, which I recommend. She did climb the back of the car seat a few times, but mostly during the trip she stayed in the basket and either looked out the window, played with her toys that I had placed in the basket for her, or slept. She really seemed to enjoy looking at the cars passing us by, and the scenery. I would recommend this booster seat to anyone with well-trained pets. I really highly recommend a harness for use with this, though. Pets CAN get out of this basket, but only enough to hang off of the side. A collar could choke them, but using a harness makes it much safer. But for someone with a hyper cat or dog, Id say stick to a back seat harness or some other alternative. This seat is for well-behaved pets. Id like to mention that the product comes turned inside out so that you can see where the holes are for assembly. I personally think it is a very high quality seat and very made well. Please read the instruction manual before sending it back and giving it a bad review. Its very simple to assemble as long as you look it over first and read the manual. Love it! On: 2008-08-27Taking my 10lb mini dachshund for a car ride is much more enjoyable with the Deluxe Pet Booster Seat.I read the reviews and I had to give it a chance.Before I bought the booster seat my dog use to whine and jump from my lap to the passengers seat while I was driving. It was stressful and I was concerned for his safety as well as mine.Now that Sonny is strapped in&secure,driving with him has been a much more pleasant experience.The first time I used the booster seat Sonny tried jumping out of the seat,which was expected.But I must say his constant whining had cut down by at least half.Now that he has ridden in his booster seat more than once he has embraced it and has stopped attempting to jump out.He loves to sit in it and look around.I love the design of the product&I love the soft lining.I went to a few local pet stores and their selection was weak.I didnt want to get Sonny a booster seat that looked like luggage.I am very pleased to have found a comfortable&stylish seat for my dog on Amazon.It was easy to assemble&is super easy to use.If you plan on using it in the backseat of your car,make sure you have head rests.My06 Mazda6 does not have backseat head rests.Thankfully I have a baby carseat hook built in to my car, therfore I hook the straps through that.I would not suggest this product for someone who has a dog larger than mine. The clasps are quite small and pivot too easily (for man-hands.... Nice tether to secure dog collar. The built-in struts and lower back support raises the seat to the right height for your pet to see out the window. Nicely made with very good quality materials. I bought the deluxe version for the larger size. I have a Shih Tzu who is 13 lbs. He fits in perfectly, must curl up to lay down - which is great for him. But if the dog is nearing 20 lbs, Id opt for an even larger size - not sure if they actually offer a larger one. But great quality at a good price. Deluxe Pet Booster Seat On: 2008-08-04This pet booster seat is great. Easy to put together, sturdy and practical. It offers comfort, lots of room and a great view while driving for your pet. I would recommend this product. It is a value for its price. Super-functional AND attractive On: 2008-07-21Vera (my 5.5 pound Japanese Chin) loves this! Her car rides used to be spent confined to a traditional pet carrier, and now her enthusiasm to check out the world as it passes by is unmeasured. Goes well with the cars tan interior, and is really very simple to install/uninstall. There is also plenty of room for her to comfortably turn around or even lie down One word of caution: you probably should NOT put this in the back seat of your vehicle UNLESS you have a passenger who could help out in case of a poorly-timed, enthusiastic leap from the basket! There is a harness clip to keep the dog safe in case of sudden turns or stops, but if your dog jumps out, he/she will dangle (or worse) whick would be very dangerous while you are driving! Vera tried to jump out within the first five minutes, but luckily it was in the driveway. It only took once for her to learn her lesson, but I was too worried for the rest of our drive to really be able to focus on the road instead of her in the backseat: dangerous! Keep the pet seat installed up front with you, if you are in the car alone. pet booster seat is terriffic On: 2008-06-13Ive had this booster seat for my 3lb chihuahua for several weeks now, and we both, (my dog and myself) really enjoy it. Before, I had to drive with Cosmo in my lap raised up on his hind feet to see out of the window. This felt dangerous. The seat allows Cosmo to see in all directions and the strap keeps him safely inside the seat so he cant jump out the window or go flying if I brake suddenly. One suggestion though, use a harness rather than a collar to hook you dog in so they dont jump over the side and "hang". At first Cosmo would get wound up in the safety strap but has since learned how to move about without getting tangled. I recommend this seat to anyone with a small, curious dog. Be careful that you have the right sized car seat for this product. On: 2008-06-10Have the wrong-sized bucket seats, I guess. This booster seat wont lay flush against the back of car seat. This will cause the booster seat to tip over, as there nothings to support the booster. Called the company asking about return policy (had free shipping). They claimed Id have to pay the shipping charge ($20 plus) to send the product back, which is nearly half the purchase price. Not a good deal. Be sure the booster seat will fit flat inside the contours of your bucket seat. It may be well worth your time to take careful measurements. Hope this review was useful. Thanks. Dog-gone good carrier! On: 2008-05-23My little Maltese jumped happily in this right away! Ahhhh....to be safely tethered snugly in a doggy seat at last! And THE VIEW!....wow....no more jumping up and slipping at the window to get a peek at the landscape! The strap is designed so that your fur baby can safely sit or lie down; even turn around. Do not leave them attached to the tether though when you run into the store, as they could potentially hang from the cord if they tried to jump out unattended! At first shes a bit jumpy but soon enough she falls asleep in it and looks comfortable. and its perfect for my car. and when shes not in it i can use it to put thinngs in that i dont want to roll around when im driving. VERY NICE!!!!! Can't live without it. On: 2008-05-21I have to chihuahuas, one is 5lbs. the other is 3lbs. They love to travel with my husband and I but hate being in a carrier when doing so. Ever since I made this purchase, they have stopped whining in the back seat. We just drove 3 hours to my inlaws and the two of them were either sleeping or looking out the window the entire time, not a peep! Highly recommend this product. My two dogs are about 8lbs. combined and just make it sleeping. If your dog is any bigger than that, it will be tight for sleeping. I love my Booster On: 2008-05-19This is a great seat/bed for little dogs. He can see out the window and have his toys to play with. Pet Booster Seat - nice idea, not always a solution On: 2008-05-03I bought this booster seat thinking it would not only secure my dog in the car but also make her comfortable while we traveled and allow her to see out the windows. As it turns out, she didnt like the seat. I liked how easy it was to hook her in the seat and it is a quality product, I just couldnt keep her in it. It may have been that she was too big for the seat - and shes only 11# - she couldnt lay down and still look out the window since the sides were over her head. I ended up returning the car seat and got her a safety harness instead. Shes much happier with it since she can lay down on the car seat and has all the room she needs to spread out and still be safely buckled in the car. If you consider ones of these seats, consider how your dog likes to lay down - if they curl in a ball - the seat will be okay, but watch the dimensions. If they prefer to sprawl out - I wouldnt get the booster seat since it probably will not be big enough to allow them to do that. If you get the booster seat - you wont be disappointed. It didnt work for us, but it is a nice product and I would have kept it if she would have stayed in it. Great design and idea, just would like it more durable. On: 2008-02-21This was one of the better designed pet seats around. My 5.5lbs Yorkie loved it, but after 6 months, a rivet that holds one of the hooks for the top strap came out of its place. I could have fixed it if I were handy. Now I am just looking for a more durable version of the same concept. P.S. This pet seat was only used for my 5.5 lb dog, it did not carry any of the million other things we cart around on a daily basis. fun On: 2008-02-01my dashound really likes it it helps him sit up and helps keep my windows clean Designed with Comfort in Mind On: 2007-11-19I bought this online here at amazon after I returned another seat I bought locally at a big box store. Unlike the one I returned, this is clearly designed by someone who understands that even pets want to be comfortable. It is very well made, incredibly easy to assemble, and installs in seconds, securely on a seat. It is very apparent that my dog, a chihuahua/miniature pinscher mix, is comfortable and feels secure. After initially looking around she quickly curls into the soft, quilted liner (which is removable and washable) and falls asleep. I very rarely write reviews but was motivated by the quality of this product. You will not be disappointed by this attractive seat. Happy Dogs!!! On: 2007-10-02I have two little 3 lbs. chihuahuas. They always know when something is for them. As soon as they saw their new seat they became so excited. I strapped them in and off we went. They look so proud sitting up enjoying the view.
