I bought the water bowl at a local pet store thinking it might keep my small spaniels ears out of the water. The good news is that her ears dont go into the bowl, the bad news is the design of the top is such that it doesnt drain splashes, so her ears still get wet. Also, the sticky labels on the bowl were a pain to scrape off. On: 2007-08-25
(I bought this at a local pet store) This bowl in theory is brilliant. But after getting it home and trying to remove the labels (three in all, the largest one being in the center of the bowl!)it turned out to be a sticky mess. The labels are hard stuck - not the kind that peel off easily with no residue. The labels themselves were incredibly hard to pull off, then the adhesive was still left behind. So I had to resort to using a chemical adhesive remover - which left a chemical smell in the plastic. I soaked them overnight, used everything I could think of to get the smell out but nothing worked. I figured if I can smell it, my dog will too. Plus I couldnt take the risk of making him ill. And they are still a little sticky! My dog never got to use it, so I have no idea how durable it is. My guess is that it isnt considering the soft plastic top. On: 2007-07-01
Dog destroyed top lid in one day, rendering it useless. Its soft chewy plastic like she loves.
