On: 2008-06-23Worked like a charm for a few days. Then, we didnt check whether or not the collar needed a recharge of spray, and our Beagle wore the collar all day without getting sprayed! When we refilled it, the dog didnt respond as well. Then, the battery ran out and the same thing happened. Again, our dog learned to "live with" the spray. If we had to do it again, I would remove the battery when he wasnt wearing the collar, and remove the collar before putting him in his kennel to go to bed, to prevent uneeded sprays, etc. We had to try a shock collar...and it works 100%. However, we keep it on no more than 8-10 hours a day and remove it & turn the battery off if we play with him and when he goes to bed in the evening. So Far, So Good!  On: 2007-07-27I have a Jack Russell puppy and an older Beagle who LOVE to get into bark-fests with each other several times a day, and it was driving me nuts. Nothing I did seemed to make a difference...they would quiet down when I went in and corrected them, but then they would start right back in again, sometimes the second I left the room! Someone suggested a spray-bottle, and it helped break them up, but still required my personal involvement each episode. When I purchased these collars, the Beagle barked one time at a UPS driver and now refuses to engage with the puppy. The puppy somehow seems to KNOW what the deal is, and has not barked even one time with the collar on. Its like magic! Im on day two of blissful silence and my only regret is that I did not purchase these two months ago! Dog collars On: 2007-05-23Thank you the collars work very well on my dogs.
