Well designed and easy to use     On: 2009-01-02

I bought this cover a few weeks ago and just used it for the first time last weekend. I was concerned about it staying in place on leather seats (see the negative reviews) but it worked well in my Explorer.

The headrest straps are adjustable, there are two holds to insert between seats, two elastic bands for diagonal support, and two bottom hooks to keep tension in the front. One of my dogs tried to rearrange the cover by digging on it but had no success. The elastic kept pulling the cover back into place.

Overall, I am very happy with this cover and am going to buy another for our second car, when I find it on sale again.
Not That GOOD     On: 2008-12-31

I bought this for my German Shepard and installed it in my 2008 Mariner with leather seats. The metal gromets tore out in 2 places and the cover ripped. I had to install new gromets but they tore out too. The idea is good but seems to be made poorly.

Why oh why didnt I turn in the old comforter and fitted sheet earlier ? ! This cover is amazing ! Its easy to vac the pet hair off, and is a perfect fit for my Honda CRV. It even hangs over just enough to protect the sides of the seat when my lab mix jumps in and out of the car. I have fabric seats, so the cover stays put and doesnt shift around at all. Its also flexible enough for when I need to collapse the seats. I am one happy camper.

I just adopted a dog and she loves to ride in the car. I have leather seats and using a blanket was not working. I love this seat cover. It is easy to install, stays in place, and keeps us both happy.

Solves a Hairy Problem     On: 2008-11-19

Our new car is not what we call "dog friendly." Black upholstery and a yellow lab are a problematic combination, but the Solvit bench seat cover keeps us sane. We like the neutral color and durable fabric which, by the way washes nicely. Our car is a little smaller than most, but the seat cover can be adjusted to fit snugly. Now if we only had a "Solvit" for the kitchen floor!

I was very happy with the cover to protect my leather seats in the back of my Buick Rendezvous. It fit perfectly, seems very sturdy and is very easy to put on. The dogs snuggle up on it, no problem. It cost a little more than others Ive seen in catalogs but it seems well worth it.

This is a very efficient, heavy duty seat cover. It fits my back seat in my RX300 very well....and, it covers top and bottom. I have 2 big dogs that like to go for rides, and with this cover I can take them both without worrying that my leather seats will get dirty, or torn.

I bought two Deluxe Bench Covers, one for my Camry and one for my Pathfinder. My five and a half month standard poodle loves to jump into the car when we go out. Both cars have leather seats. I just inserted the tube holders and the elastic bands on the sides, along with the head rest bands. It took less than five minutes. The s hook fasteners were not needed. The covers dont slide or shift. He lays down on the cover and loves the softness. Thanks for a great product.

It works better for SUVs or trucks, for small cars you have to make minor adjustments to make it tight. Apart from that its an excellent product that my dog is not interested in chewing on.

We ordered one originally for our 2007 Toyota Camry Hybird. It installed quickly and is of good quality. We then ordered another for our 2007 Toyota Prius. It installed quickly as well. Would recommend, looks exactly as the photo shows.

Easy to install, easy to clean. Fit really well. Had to put a blanket under it because dog hair and dirt can fall through the seat belt holes but thats fine.

Excellent seat cover in general, and I really like that the the edges are trimmed so well. And the grommets are EXCELLENT. My only complaint (which is minor) is that the sides (against the upright portion of the seat) arent as secure as I like... but I plan to fix that with a bungee cord.

All in all, though, Im very pleased with this and would definitely recommend this seat cover.
No More Dirty Seats!     On: 2008-04-17

I purchased this seat cover and have had it in my car now for about 2 weeks. I love this cover. Ive only had it a short while, but my dogs ride in the car everyday. There is no surface damage and it will be due for a wash soon. I havent used it after the dog beach yet, but I have used it after a steady rain and no water got on my seats! It is made of thick material that does not move when my dogs (beagle and weimaraner) are on it. The only area that has any trouble is the edge where the seatbelt slits are. For some reason when My dogs jump in the car sometimes their feet snag on it. Ive just tucked it tighter into the seat and it seems to work fine now. My dogs seem to really like it and Ive noticed they sit and lay down more on the seats than they used to. The surface is ideal b/c it doesnt slip or bunch. I wish they made the divider for between the front seats to match this cover.

I bought it for a truck we have and it fit great. We then got another car (blazer) and it fit great in there too. My dog loves it. It is soft to the touch and when I washed it it did not shrink.

Good quality, fits okay. The under-seat straps wont work if your backseat sits on the floor of the car, but they tell you that in the instructions.

This was a lifesaver. We have a dog that drools every time hes in the car. Instead of going through a roll of paper towels, we decided to give this a try. We have a minivan and it fit wonderfully. My guess is that with all of the different clips and fasteners, it would fit anywhere. Great product!
Hghest Quality Pet Seat COver I've Seen     On: 2008-02-08

This is the best looking and most durable cover Ive found. I have a 110 lb. Weimaraber that goes everywhere with me, and I was changing the polyester and satiny covers and robes monthly as they wore out and frayed; and the cheap looking covers really ruined the whole interior look of a luxury SUV. This heavy, quilted duckcloth is really sharp and very durable, and the leather trim and connecting straps with real brass harware make it even better. It compliments a rather than detracting like the others did.

It is well made and much better than the one I bought through Cabellas. The dogs do not slide around like on the thin nylon covers. I put it in a full size truck and my only complaint is that I wish it were about6 inches wider. It does not quite cover the edges of the rear seat.

I bought this seat cover for my car a few months ago. I loved it so much that I got another one for my fiances car. We have two big dogs who ride with us a lot and inevitably leave their fur behind. I highly recommend the deluxe bench seat cover because it has straps to hold it in place under the seat and around the headrests. Also, it is a snap to take off and throw in the wash. Great purchase.

This product has offically ended my towel over the seat era! I am very happy with the quality of this seat cover--its thick and heavy, which means it stays well on the seat while my dog jumps around. It was also super easy to put it on.... I am usually really bad at putting things together, but this one took 2 minutes. I wonder if it will fit a bigger seat as well as it fits mine; I have a VW Golf which is a small 4 door car. But overall it was money well spent!

I purchased this to replace oversize beach towels I was using on the cloth back seat of my Honda. The installation is very easy and it does a much better job of protecting the seats than my towel attempt. I highly recommend it.

This is a geat product, I bought it a while ago and have had it in the back of my 4-door sedan ever since. It is really good quality and have no problems with it ripping, tearing, or coming apart in any way. I love the "anchors" that they have for the crease of the seat (where your seatbelt buckles are located) to keep it from sliding- they really do help. However, let me warn you that if you have a bench seat that is recessed into your floor (like me) and not off the floor (like an SUV) then the straps that are supposed to go under the seat are almost pointless. Since the straps are not able to be be pulled tight around the edge of your seat, when your dog jumps on it the straps will slide off. This is my only pet-peave about this product. Other than that, it is a really good product-great for people like me that do not want dog hair/scratches all over their leather. Now they need to come up with something to protect your windows and windowsills from slober :) Hope this review is helpful!

This doggie car seat cover exceeded our expectations: easy to install, stays in place and looks great! We have 2 large dogs, so the cover takes a beating. We havent washed it yet, but it looks sturdy.

I bought this to replace a pet robe cover that was worn out. It is a very well made cover and fits well on the seat. The problem is that it doesnt have any rubber backing and therefore, it slides all over leather seats. No matter how secure I thought it was, as soon as my dog walked on it, it slipped and exposed the leather seats. I gave it to my sister who has cloth seats and it works great in her car.

Wow. This is everything I have been looking for. Well designed, great construction. I spent lots of time looking at other models, both online and in stores. Nothing gave me what I wanted until I found this. I have a GMC Yukon and this fits perfectly. Still it would probably fit my wifes car with the adjustable straps. It is water resistant, which is all I need. The water proof models have slick tops and dogs slide all over. This model has great quilted twill which my 2 Australian sheperds handle just fine. Much better than the leather seats which I was having to clean on a monthly basis. A great product at a fair price.

After throwing away several over-priced, useless seat covers, I found this one from Solvit. Fantastic! It really stays put when a large dog jumps in and out. Its easy to install and clean. I like the neutral color, too. Dont consider any other brand -- we have them in all our cars, and recommend to all our dog-owner friends.

The quality of this product is very high, I like that it is one piece, I purchased a similar product for girlfriends car at petsmart, it is two pieces making it hard to be taken in and out, it was also more expensive and poorer quality, I also like that it is machine washable.

I have two mastiff mixes and a brand new car. This seat cover works. Its got several nifty little features that make it great. Its got adjustable hardware straps with durable metal connectors to fit around whatever size head rests your seat may have. Its got these great little plastic gizmos that fit into the seat crack to anchor the thing so it doesnt gather up and lays flat. Its got some elastic straps that fit around the bottom of the seat on each side to further stabilize it so the dogs dont dismantle it. And more Im not mentioning. Just all in all a high-quality product. Now if I could only find something to keep the slobber off the windows...
