This has worked great for my 4 month old puppy. It serves the purpose of the crate by confining him, yet he feels so much more comfortable in the play pen than in a crate. Dont recommend for a large puppy--hell outgrow it very fast.

Great Product!

I bought this product because my dog was having leg surgery and wasnt allowed to move around for two weeks after. This playpen was one of the best purchases Ive ever made. My Yorkie likes it so much that she wants to go in it all the time. Its very portable and easy to put up and take down. If you have small dogs that you need to confine for a while, this is the perfect item to buy. However, it has a rubber-coated type mesh on the side, so I dont know that it would be good for puppies since they tend to chew a lot but for small dogs, its perfect!!

Great product

My sister and I both bought this for our small dogs. We both love it. We have had no problems with it at all. My dog is in it while Im at work. There is room for potty mat, bed and food. I love the removeable mat for easy cleaning. I would recomend this to all my friends.

Not designed to survive sharp puppy teeth

I have had the play pen for less than a week and my cockapoo puppy enjoys playing in it. Unfortunately, when I zipped the mesh door shut to restrict her playing area while I cooked dinner her sharp puppy teeth went through the blue lining and the zipper destroying that one side of the play pen. I am annoyed that it was so expensive and I only got a few days use out of it. The product info said that it held up to dog bites and scratches but I will have to disagree and I am upset that it is of no use to me now. Please wait until your puppy loses their sharp baby teeth before leaving them in here and as always it just goes to show the importance of always supervising your puppy.

good buy!!! we use it when we go on vacation as well as at home. its easy to pack up and put in the car.

Safe & roomier than a crate......

We bought this pen for our second Yorkshire Terrier. Her "big brother" was settled in his ways & needed to adjust to having the little one join the family. Keeping them safely apart when we arent around to keep an eye on them was important....but we didnt want her to be confined to a tiny crate. A pee-pad holder fits well in it with her little bed, toys, etc....& she quickly realized that was the place to "go" when in it. She has plenty of room to jump & play in it. But about that - the little bugger could jump out at 12 weeks old! We remedied that by getting a foam "science project" style board to place over the top. It works great.
Highly recommend it for little dogs.

Worked great but...

We bought this for our 3 month old Border Terrier. It works great and we love it. Weve only had two minor problems.

1)The puppy was almost able to jump out so we had to create a "top" out of an old box. This ended up working better for us since we use it as his den. I think the darkness helped him calm down quicker.
2)We also have to watch the velcro strip on the door since the puppy tends to chew it.

Other than those two issues we love it!! It is big enough for the bed, a small litter box, some toys, a blanket and a water bowl.

My puppy loves her playpen. I liked it too in the beginning because she was more comfortable being left in it,BUT she was managing to chew through the front zipper door had I continued to leave her in it for a period of time. Mind you this is only a 3 lb dog. But as far as moving the playpen around my house, I loved it, was well as the removable pad in the bottome for easy cleaning. If I had to do it over again, I wouldnt have purchased it.

Puppy Playpen

I bought this product to keep my very busy puppy active. It worked! I can also take it to my mothers house and friends to be able to have him with me but not ruin their hardwood or have him on people who are not necessarily dog lovers.

Pet Gear PG4200BS Pet Pen

I got this play pen for my maltipoo puppy. I think that its great. The lining that was provided is easy to clean, and it also comes with a nice fleece pad and a little bag to put all little stuff. The play pen was enough to put a training tray on one side and his bed on the other. Great for training purposes. I also like how theres a zipped door on one end so he can get in and out once he grows up.

Im really happy with this product.

SAFE COZY CONTAINMENT FOR SMALL DOGS OR KITTENS

I bought this for my sisters two small Chihuahuas to have safe cozy place to play and sleep when she brings them to work. The dogs seem to like it and it keeps them out of harms way. Fairly easy to put up and down. Seems well designed and constructed. The best on the market as far as I know. Amazon was almost half the price of a dog boutique for the same item. Certainly worth the price for the safety! Recomended.

Great for Puppoes

I purchased this play pen for my 5 english bulldog puppies when we went camping, and it was great! Easy to put up and down and easy to clean!

EXCELLENT PRODUCT, EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED

This pet "playpen" is beautifully made. Its strong, portable, easy to use, and pet-friendly. They thought of everything! We bought two and put them side by side in the back of the car for our dogs. Now each one has a secure little house to ride in, and they can either lie down (on the washable fuzzy mat) or look out the top of their pen. Getting the dogs in the car is WAY easier, and they cant escape when you open the back door because they are all zipped in their individual pens. The medium size is wide enough for our greyhound to turn around in. She cant tolerate a crate, but she is happy in this pen, and I am happy driving because everything is under control. Highly recommended.

Great if you leave-up & don't need to set-up or fold-up

Instead of the pet pen, I highly recommend the Graco child playpen which is much easier to put up and take down, stores and travels easily, and costs about $20 less. However, the smaller size and rectangular shape of the pet pen works well in smaller rooms (like my office) where a playpen would be overwhelming. Collapsing this pen is difficult and it is impossible to fit it back into the carrying case that comes with it. I can recommend it only if you want to set it up and leave it in place. Dont plan on it as a portable travel accessory.
