The doggie hammock seat cover is definitely a product I would recommend to anyone who finds themselves driving around with a dog in the backseat.
It saves the hours or trying to remove the hair from the seat fabric as well as the general dirt. The hammock also allows peace of mind for the safety of your dog, in that it wont fall on sudden stops, keeping your attention on your driving. The fabric used in the hammock is very sturdy and doesnt seem to be something that will wear down easily.
I do think they could have made the attachment of it a bit better, which has been noticed by other reviewers as it sags a little as opposed to how the picture portrays it. I do think that elastic clamps cold alleviate that, but it doesnt stop it from being able to do its intended purpose.
I didnt notice the Chemical odor that some of the other reviewers have encountered so perhaps they have addressed this issue.
Overall, I do recommend this product. For the price it is a bargain for what it saves you from.

I purchased this for my sister who has two very large and active dogs. One dog tries to get in the front seat and drive but with this dog cover it stops her from getting between the seats unlike her old one that just covered the seat. Not riding with the dogs is a lot more fun.

This product fits great in my ML320, is fully adjustable, and my dog is much more comfortable in the back seat now. GREAT PRODUCT!

I really like the engineering of the hammock: the "Sta-put" devices really help keep the product in place, and the extra grommets make attachment flexible. The original product sent us had a strong, chemical oder, but the manufaturer replaced it as defective. The new cover arrived with only the slightest oder that dissipated within a week.
I like the product, I like the company, and I strongly recommend the hammock.

This product is well made, but has a very strong chemical smell.
So I contacted the company, they said to just air it out for a few days. We did this...it still smelled. Then we washed it, twice, it still smells!
At this point were not sure if well use it ...when its installed in the truck ..I get a headache.

This is a permanent fixture in my Honda CRV (as is my dog) and I love it! Keeps my car clean, even after a muddy trip to the park! It fits my vehicle well and is easily removed for passengers. A note of warning however, this will not keep a dog from jumping over into the front seat, I always use in conjunction with a harness to fasten my dog safely in the back seat. Also, not completely "waterproof", moisture will seep through if not wiped up. Washes well. Have used for over 8 months with no deterioration after several machine washes.

Had it only a week and one of the grommets broke on it. It is much more flimsy than I anticipated. I can say that it is better than the fitted sheet that we had on prior to the hammock.

The photo made it look as if the cover would be taut across the back of the front seats, when in fact it sags all over the place. But actually thats not that big a problem. This cover is better than most. One other thing: the straps that come with the cover are way too long even after adjustment and one of them was sewn inside out. Tch. Tch.
