It offers great ventilation and the mesh windows let him peek out at the world, but its still covered enough that he feels safe and snug inside. Solid materials and quality construction make it surprisingly easy to transport your pet (an insert in the bottom turns the carrier rigid for transport). Only drawback - the description is off. I used to use a carrier that was hard sided and only had a front door opening when I took my cat to the vet. This carrier is so much nicer because I have two ways of getting her in and out of it. She usually weights around 15 pounds but is closer to 20 now. She fit great and I am sure she will be comfortable. Im sure this will be a breeze to travel with and it is airline approved.
