Rips too easily!     On: 2008-01-07

Our golden retriever loves to chase tennis balls, but in the long winter months they get instantly lost in the snow, and the Zisc flying disc seemed like a perfect solution. This one, though, got a serious rip in it the first time the dog took it off to chew it in the woods, and the second time it came back with an actual chunk out of the middle. Since Im told that the tears -- their edges, and the possibility of swallowing the torn-off pieces -- are actually dangerous for dogs, weve had to throw it out. Were trying another one, but were disappointed!
As close to indestructible as it gets !!     On: 2007-12-29

They say no dog toy is indestructible, but this one is as close as it gets. We bought the Zogoflex flying disc over a year ago for our Labradoodle when she was a puppy. She is a frisbee playing maniac and we have gone through at least 40 other dog frisbees (all of which were completely destroyed in no time); the Zogoflex is the sole survivor, it is still completely in tact showing very little wear and tear. And in addition, it is sturdier than those cheap dog frisbees and controls much better in flight on those windy days. Its expensive per unit compared to those other dog frisbees, but when I consider having spent around $120 for those 40 other frisbees, this one is cheap by comparison.
