Works well on terrier fur

The Petsy brush works well at getting knots and debris out of my terriers fur. It pulls a lot of the loose fur off of him. I love how its so easy to clean, too. Only thing I dont like is that the bristles are hard plastic so Im very careful when I brush the the tops of his paws so I dont scratch him. Also, the big brush is way too big for an 11-lb. dog; I gave that to a friend who has a golden retriever and we just use the small, "travel" one.

It was out of the box one minute and I already decided Id been ripped off.

I have a malamute cross dog, a big hairy guy who sheds in clumps.. clumps of downy white fur that floats around like dandilion seeds, that settles on black clothes, that balls up in corners, etc. I can grab fur and pull out tufts, I can barely rub him and fur will fluff loose.

So I bought a "Petsy Brush" claiming to gently remove shedding fur and all that. I sat down and called my doggy to come sit. A few brushes of the new grooming tool with its "self cleaning" head.. and a mere 3 or 4 pieces of fur. No WONDER it can self clean.. theres no fur on the brush to remove! I have cheap metal slicker brushes that do WAY better. I was looking for something gentle (as I have a giant rabbit that needs brushing as well) but I guess I forgot to tell the AS-seen-on-TV people that I also needed something EFFECTIVE. For $14.95 (what I paid elsewhere) I got 2 useless brushes. I didnt even bother to try the small one on the rabbit.

The bristles are large and stiff with rounded points, its easy to see now that they cant pull shed out.

Buy something else. Im returning it immediately and looking for better shedding brushes.
