Ive seen this kind of doghouse sold at more than twice the Amazon price - seriously a good deal. The medium size accommodates my dog perfectly, with room for him to completely turn around inside and stick his nose out when he lies down, and hes about 22" long with his paws stretched in front of him. It really does seem to offer some protection from the heat, thanks to the slightly raised floor. As an added precaution (our summers are guaranteed to get many over-100F days), we hooked up one of those under-eave misters and hes so happy to have a place to hide from the kids and still be comfortable. The wood is solid and attractive, the inside is very smooth, so no worry of splinters, and the finish has not faded in the sun or sprinklers. Also, the shipping cost was very low for such a heavy item, and it was delivered quickly and well-packaged. |
