![]() Pet Pill Dispenser By: Ezy Dose Average Rating: 5.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information if you have to give pills to your pet, you need this I have a cat who requires daily medication in pill form. I have tried to give her pills hidden in treats -- she just eats the treat around the pill. Plus, some medicines should not be taken with food. Ive tried forcing pills in the side of her mouth -- she just uses her tongue to push them back out. It was a daily struggle that was unpleasant for both the cat and me. Then I found this pill dispenser. I wish I had found this simple device months ago. The dispenser looks like a long syringe. It has crossed slits in its tip that open when you push the plunger. All you do is pull the plunger back a bit, load a pill into the tip, and move the plunger so it rests just behind the pill. If you have dog, there is a diagram on the packaging that shows how to hold the dogs head to open its mouth. I find it is easier to hold my cats head from behind and gently ease the syringe into the side of her mouth. Just maneuver the tip of the syringe so it is just behind the hump of your pets tongue and press the plunger. It will gently push the pill into your pets mouth, and they will swallow it. I was originally worried about choking by pills getting into my cats airway, but the pill is released so gently that this does not seem to be an issue. My cat readily swallows the pill once it is released into her mouth. If you need to give pills to your pet, this is a very simple and humane way to do it. It will eliminate the struggles and frustration for both you and your pet. I recommend it highly. |
