If you use dilegently and keep up with the ear cleaning once a month after the primary problem clears up you wont have a problem again. Best ear cleanser Ive gotten for the money to stop my dog from scratching at her ears. I use it after her baths (2xs wk) and dab the excess with a cotton ball. My dog didnt fight me when I put it in. The best ear cleaner On: 2008-08-25I have a 10 yr. old Min. Schnauzer who has had chronic ear infections in one ear for the past 3-4 years. I would have to go to the vet and get his products for the dog. After he cleared up, it would start 3-4 months later again. I found this product here on Amazon last year along with the Zymox Otic which cleared up the ear infection. Then I use the ear cleaner as maintenance. This is my second bottle. I now have a Westie pup and she gets her ears cleaned with it and she has never had an ear infection. This is the best stuff made. I threw out the vets ear cleaner and medicne. The BEST ear cleaner on the market bar none! On: 2008-08-23I own several American Bulldogs and this stuff keeps their ears looking great! I have used multiple ear cleansing solutions in the past and have to say that Zymox works the BEST!! While other cleansers were prone to leave behind a little "gunk" sometimes, the Zymox cleanser leaves no trace. Their ear canals are all nice and clean now. We use both the cleanser and the solution as needed. These products were recommended to us by our vet. I have noticed there were a few reviews in that the products didnt work for everyone, however it seems that the majority have seen positive results. If you have a dog or cat with chronic ear problems, why not give the Zymox products a try. You may be thankful you did. Zymox Ear Cleanser On: 2008-06-28After a year of multiple and very expensive trips to the vet for recurrent ear infections in my 2 year old Labrador, I discovered Zymox Ear Cleanser. (I did use it with the Zymox Otic (1.25oz) with Hydrocortisone (1.0%) at first.)This product is amazing. After only 2 uses I noticed an improvement and after 4 days her ears were completely clear. All redness irritation and discharge is gone. I use the cleanser once a week now and her ears are fine. If I had found this a year ago it would have saved me over $300 in vet bills. Cured yeast infection in ears! On: 2008-06-01My siberian husky has had chronic yeast infections, painful and smelly, in his ears for 3 years. I found this product when googling for cures for yeast infections and decided to try it since Id been to the vet year after year and kept getting the same prescription for Otomax, which never helped. I do have to say that I also switched him to a grain free food (Innova/Evo) but finally the infection and nasty oozing is gone!!! Highly recommend!! I also bought the ear drops too. My dog has chronic ear problems and produces a lot of wax in one ear in particular. This is a good wash and seems to help him leave the ear alone. Would recommend it along with the Zymox enzymatic solution. Use this first to clean out the ear, then the enzymatic solution to sooth it and treat any type of non-serious infection or use as a preventative as I do. Zymox cat ear cleanser is the best! On: 2007-12-07This stuff works great - much better than any other cat ear cleanser that I have tried. I think the glycerine in it is what makes it so effective. It loosens the large chunks of wax that my cat routinely gets in his ears, which he is then able to clear by simply shaking his head. Other products that I have tried have not worked at all (Virbac Epi-Otic is worthless - and expensive). You still have the obvious problem of getting your cat to cooperate with the whole process, but you can be reassured that it will actually work. Highly recommended! Needless to say, the ear problems continued, so I stopped using it at the advice of my vet. Once, while cleaning her ears, she shook her head and the solution splashed my face, and it burned like crazy, so I can only imagine what she felt in her ear canal. The vet recommended using Epi Otic Advanced for her, and it is effective without being painful, and smells better. But seeing the rave reviews for the Zymox product line, you might have better luck than me... best wishes! On: 2006-09-10I have a Boston Terrier that had chronic ear infections for the first 5 years of her life. Her new vet switched her to this solution and for the past 2 years she has not had an infection!!!!! The stuff is awesome. better than another (expensive) trip to the vet On: 2006-07-19My 11-yr-old cocker spaniel had no ear problems until receiving a dose of antibiotics for a different health problem. Within a month of that veterinarian visit, she had a yeast infection in both ears. The regular cleaning solution wasnt helping and I didnt want another discouraging and costly trip to the vet, so I tried this product (along with the Xymox Otic) and have seen enormous improvement. The Otic worked very well to fight off the yeast infection, and this cleanser is now my ear health maintenance product of choice. |
