Purrfect cat house

This cat/dog house is very attractive, and seems sturdy and well-made, with solid wood. It was quite easy to put together, only about 20 screws/bolts to fasten in pre-drilled holes and youre done. Would have taken only 10 minutes to assemble, except the roof was a little tricky to see how exactly it fit on, other than that was a breeze to put together. Does smell fairly strongly of cedar, but neither I nor my cat minded, as he was inside and curled up within 10 minutes after I put it outside on the porch. Although it seems well-constructed and that there are no gaps for the wind to get through, I may consider adding some extra insulation or a door at some point if the weather gets really cold this year. This house looks fantastic and is a really good value for your money, especially since its one of the cheaper models on the market, at $70 from Petsmart.

Country Lodge is a bit flimsy

Going by the name, Outback Country Lodge, and the look of it from the online pictures, you get the impression its going to be a sturdy dog house. However, once you get it out of the box, its kind of flimsy. I went ahead and put mine together, and Im hoping for the best. I got the small one, and was able to pick up and move the dog house all by myself, with no trouble at all. Im using it outside, so, Im still hoping it holds up to normal weather conditions.

Very nice quality - our CAT loved this little house on the deck

I got this for our cat, so that she has a cozy place of her own on the deck away from the sun and the wind. She loves it. It took a week or so for the wood smell to go away, but as soon as it did she started using it.

The quality of this lodge is very nice. Everyone who stops by our apartment comments on it. Very cute.

Nice looking dog house

This item is very nice and very simple to put together. Comes complete with all the screws and bolts that you need. The only thing you have to supply is the screwdriver. Directions are printed right on the box that it came in. Assembles in about 20 - 30 minutes. The part I liked was the leveling feet, since there is a slight slope to my yard. I could make the dog house level.

Nice & Easy

Took all of 15 minutes for myself and daughter to put this dog house together. Nice and spacious. Product looks exactly like online photo if not better. Smell was not horribly strong and didnt notice it after the 1st day, just smelled like fresh wood. Need to keep your dog out of the rain, love the ideas of the elevated house with the legs.

Outback Country Lodge is a Good Value

We are happy with the Outback Country Lodge! It was the best value we could find. Its up off the ground, cozy, all wood, attractive and good size. Assembly was easy as well. Give your dog time to get used to the house, our dog needed a cozy towel and a cold wind before she really curled up inside. I would recommend a clear coat of weatherproofing sealant before the rainy season though. We can vouch, it was just as described!
