Great for trimming a cat's claws     On: 2007-03-01

We prefer the guillotine style of claw clipper for our five cats as it is less likely to shred the claw and does a neater job of removing the tip. We also find it easier to use than the scissor type clipper, but be sure to get some replacement bladess, otherwise you will begin to shred your cats claws.

Weve been using the Resco brand trimmer ever since our Humane Society friend clued us into the product. Its a very sturdy clipper and the blades are easy to replace--just dont remove the two little screws like I did before reading the directions--the blade just pops out.

Breaks on tough nails     On: 2006-12-10

Ill grant that my dog has very tough nails, but this is not a product that is built to last. I have been through three of these - they keep breaking. Get one of the scissor-style nail clippers. There are plenty of choices on Amazon.
