My dogs will eat anything so the fact they gobble it down means little. I can say the smell of the food seems good compared to other dry food. I bought it for the ingredients and based on other reviews. I will continue to purchase it because it seems to be the right thing to do for my dogs. PEACE OF MIND FOR PET OWNERS! On: 2008-01-09Have been feeding this to my dog for 3 years now with amazing results! This is definitely Health Changing food and complete peace of mind for the Educated and caring pet owner! You never have to worry about this food being involved in any horrid pet food recall. The product is sourced only in the USA and is USDA APHIS certified (a practice that is mandatory by European standards, but not American standards). Meaning its FREE of all dead, diseased, dying or decaying plant and animal matter. A VERY important point in winning me over as a customer is that this product is made FRESH every six weeks and never sits on a truck or in a warehouse like most all mass-manufactured, big-named store bought foods. Dont be fooled by the BIG COMPANIES fancy Ads...youd be VERY surprised to know how poor the quality is of those foods as well as whats really in your dogs food and what your money is truly buying! Dog Formula of Excellent Caliber On: 2005-04-24My husband and I recently adopted a young Retriever/Newfoundland dog. Shes as sweet as can be and just the best canine companion we could wish for; but being the first dog either of us has owned as adults, regarding her training and health, weve been a bit more careful and cautious--her dog kibble being one of those researched considerations. Myself, I am very health conscious and eat organically as often as possible, and by chance I stumbled across the selection of Lifes Abundance Health Food available here at Amazon.com. Ours is a larger girl, but the kibble itself is a smaller size (so that even a teacup breed could probably enjoy it), and I just add a little bit of water to soften it up before her meals--a recommendation for larger dogs, regardless of the brand they eat. The kibble ingredients listed on the bag are all whole foods and vitamins/minerals that I can identify and pronounce; and I have jokingly suggested to my husband that I take a bagful whenever I need a "meal on the run". Even the smell of Lifes Abundance seems different to me, more robust and less metallic than other dog food brands I have been exposed to. Another positive about the food is that our girls fur is left shiny and lustrous, something that our vet and others have commented on ("What do you feed her? Her coat is gorgeous!"). So considering our experience with it, Lifes Abundance is a first-rate dog food that is worth the few extra pennies. |
