Great Door -- But Watch Out for the Installation Instructions

I would give this pet door a solid five stars for the door itself. It is attractive, durable, and far superior to any other pet door I have seen. I took a star off, however, because the installation instructions were very poor. The instructions we got didnt make sense on some points and when we called customer service, we were told those were the "old" instructions for an earlier model. They couldnt explain why they were put in with the "new" model we ordered. The instructions also told us to make a hole 1/8 inch larger than was actually needed. The customer service representative said that was because most people tend to make the hole too small. But isnt better to start off with a hole that is too small? You can always make it larger. If you followed these instructions, the hole would be too big, and there would be no way to make it smaller. That is especially important since this model pet door is installed in the wall of the house. I am very glad that we called before cutting a hole in our house that was too big! I whole-heartedly recommend this pet door, but be very careful when installing it that the manufacturers instructions dont mess you up.

They can go through walls!

This pet door is the best on the market. It is incredibly durable, looks great, is very energy efficient, and is a must have for all dog owners.

This doors design is MUCH better than that of the more typical flap door.
