![]() Merial Frontline Plus Flea and Tick Control for 89-to-132-Pound Dogs and Puppies, 6 Doses By: MERIAL Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 8 More Information Fantastic Products, MUST HAVE for dog owners Frontline Plus is by far the best flea/tick pesticide I have ever used. I have been a dog owner my entire life and I have tried many different products, none have worked as well has Frontline. It is a little costlier than the other brands, but it works much better. If I forget to put an application on my dog, within days of the missed application he will have a tick on him. Once the missed application is applied, the ticks just die and fall off. This is a great product for dogs, and is safe for children and family members. Frontline is waterproof and will last the entire month as promised. I live in the northeast and we get a lot of precipitation, and the frontline always works, wet or not. Many of the other Brands just wash off, or are less effective. Some dogs may get a little upset when you first put it on them, there is a slight burning sensation when first applied, but it goes away after a few minutes. My dogs dont even notice it anymore. I highly recommend this to any dog or cat owner out there. Whether you live in the city or the country Frontline is the best, dont give you pet anything but the best when it comes to flea/tick prevention. Effective but a bit expensive Our 2 puppies got it this year and, as far as I can tell, they are bug-free so far. I cant say whether this is because of Frontline or because there are no fleas in surroundings but, until evidence to the contrary emerges, I will give Frontline the credit. The makers claim that Frontline Plus kills all fleas and prevents re-infestation for up to one month. For paralysis tick protection, bi-weekly application is recommended but results are not guaranteed. The product comes in a number of pipettes that contain an oily-sticky liquid that is applied on the back of the dogs necks, on the skin (must part the coat until the skin is visible). The makers recommend monthly applications. I found it easy to treat the dogs. Given the relatively high price of this product, Ive been using one pipette for our 2 puppies. As they are now big, this may no longer be an option but I can see how this option could be a money saver for anyone who has 2 not so large dogs. I am taking one star away because of the ridiculously high price. A+ Kills fleas and their eggs for a month, along with ticks - Ive yet to find one, whereas I did with Revolution (though it was dead). Frontline Plus Product arrived promptly. Very happy. Amazon had the lowest price and free shipping. What a deal. I saved about 20 bucks (and gas) not picking this up at my Vets. Thanks Amazon ! webDogTrainer.com review As a dog trainer and for my own dog I like this product. I like to go hiking with my large dog and this is great for tick season! -Julie the online dog trainer from www.webDogTrainer.com Frontline Plus I have been using Frontline Plus on my dogs for years as a preventative measure against all those little bugs mentioned. I cant really say that it works as Ive never actually placed bugs on my dogs to see if they stayed around, but I can say that my dogs havent had any bug issues while using this product. Excellent product! We are committed to the use of this product. We live in Central California and this product actually repels fleas off of our Great Pyrenees! You can see them jump on him and jump off! In this area, we do not have huge problems with mosquitos or woodland area pests, but for the arrid climate we are in, this product is the best! Doesn't kill ticks or repel mosquitoes If you live in a wooded area (particularly in the northeast US), you might want to use Advantix instead. Advantix repels mosquitoes (and Frontline doesnt), and it also does a better job than Frontline in killing ticks. My dog was on Frontline, but ticks were still crawling all over him. The switch to Advantix has helped a lot. Doesn't kill ticks or repel mosquitoes If you live in a wooded area (particularly in the northeast US), you might want to use Advantix instead.
