On: 2008-11-19I have used this for years without a problem, but I believe that they have changed the formula, because it quit working a few months ago when I bought my new batch. My vet said that they have gotten a lot of similar complaints, and that long time users have switched to other products. I am now using Advantix which works great, and also is supposed to repel mosquitoes, but there have been some cases where Advantix causes a skin reaction in some dogs, so you might want to try a single dose before buying an entire package. I wonder if these mail order purchases are old stock from before a possible formula change. best flea/tick product  On: 2008-11-12Frontline Plus has always kept my dogs flea and tick free. In addition, it is odorless and less oily than other products I have tried. I have never found a better price for it than at Amazon.com. Excellent all the Way On: 2008-11-10- Product arrived as described. - Arrived within the stated shipment time frame. Well packed too. - Item that arrived WAS NOT expired either (this was something my vet warned me about regarding online purchases). - I highly recommend this product to others looking for a good flea and tick removal for dogs. It must be used monthly as the instructions state. It has always done what it has stated to do and I do take my dog hiking in the woods near when I live and not once has he had a flea or tick. Frontline Plus  On: 2008-10-31The product works great! We put it on our chihuahua and shih tzu and the fleas disappear. I was skeptical at first, but Frontline proves me wrong. Works well. On: 2008-10-30The product works well although my dog begins to endlessly scratch herself for days after the application. Great product On: 2008-10-28Frontline Plus is a wonderful product. My scottish terrier has flea allergy and we have to use it yr round. Before using this she would bite at her hind area and was pulling out hair. She also had sores all over her. We live in a condo and they arent outside in the grass very much, so at first I didnt even believe fleas were causing the problem. The vet sold me some frontline plus and w/in a month the hair started growing back in!!! I order it online at amazon.com b/c it is much more affordable and comes really quick. I have been skeptical of some sellers just b/c of rumors that I have heard. Frontline Plus On: 2008-10-12Our vet told us this was the only product that would absolutely get rid of fleas, but it did not work. About a week after we applied it to our dog, we noticed that she still had fleas. It says that it will continue to work for up to three months, but it did not for us. Im going to try it again after her thirty days are up, just because I still have five tubes left. Hopefully it will work this time??? We did find an natural spray at Wal-Mart that works pretty good--no chemicals, either, which is a plus. (Also, tons cheaper.) Maybe the Frontline needs several months to work, but based on the results we had with the first application, we are unsatisfied. Frontline Plus On: 2008-10-07Great price on Frontline Plus and it seems to be the authentic stuff. Id buy this product again from Amazon. Effective but a bit expensive On: 2008-10-02Our 2 puppies got it this year and, as far as I can tell, they are bug-free so far. I cant say whether this is because of Frontline or because there are no fleas in surroundings but, until evidence to the contrary emerges, I will give Frontline the credit. The makers claim that Frontline Plus kills all fleas and prevents re-infestation for up to one month. For paralysis tick protection, bi-weekly application is recommended but results are not guaranteed. The product comes in a number of pipettes that contain an oily-sticky liquid that is applied on the back of the dogs necks, on the skin (must part the coat until the skin is visible). The makers recommend monthly applications. I found it easy to treat the dogs. Given the relatively high price of this product, Ive been using one pipette for our 2 puppies. As they are now big, this may no longer be an option but I can see how this option could be a money saver for anyone who has 2 not so large dogs. I am taking one star away because of the ridiculously high price. Frontline at a reasonable price On: 2008-09-27Frontline from the vet cost 35 for 3 months, this was only 50 when I got it and it was for 6 months. We have 3 chihuahuas (around 10lbs a piece) so this does not last long but it is saving us money. We believe that Frontline is effective in killing and preventing flea infestation. Good product and great seller, I will purchase again, and again, and again.... Do not buy from.... On: 2008-09-27I have been using Frontline Plus for my two Yorkies for a year and it has worked well unit I purchased it from Pet Plaza. Ive noticed my dogs have been scratching a lot. I finally decided to buy it from a different merchant and almost immediately the scratching stopped. I will never buy from Pet Plaza again. Frontline Plus On: 2008-09-25The Frontline Plus that I received was not in a box that was packaged by the manufacturer. They were individual syringes in a zip-lock bag. I do NOT feel safe administering this product to my dog. I would not recommend ordering this product. frontline On: 2008-09-17Glad I ordered it. Big savings, product works well. Frontline does not work for my dog On: 2008-09-08I bought the Frontline Plus for my dog from The Pet Plaza one month ago. My dog (Tse-Tsu breed) is only 11 pounds. After I tried 2 dosage in one month, my dog still has lots of fleas. The Frontline does not works for my dog. It wasn't all there On: 2008-09-06I ordered this product and it showed up OK but when I opened the box it was actually a 3 month supply. Amazon wanted me to return the pack of three to them and then they would send me a package of 6. I suggested that they should send me a package of 3 to make up the difference and the customer service person indicated that this simply could not be done and that I would have to return the 3 pack *at my own expense* and then they would send me a 6 pack. I asked if I could just get a partial refund. Again, this was unacceptable. So I had to return to them the 6 pack at my own expense. And I did that. THEN... heres the kicker... When the 3 pack that should have been a 6 pack got back to them, they informed me that I would have to take a full refund of the original purchase because they were OUT OF STOCK on Frontline in the weight class I needed. So I had to wait for it to be credited back to my card. Im still out of shipping BOTH WAYS and no frontline in hand. Moral of this story? Buy Local! Aint no fleas on me On: 2008-09-06Frontline works the best!! I use frontline on my 70 lb dog as well as my 12 lb one, the 12 lb being who this item was for. We walk in the woods and fields on a daily basis and I have yet to find a tick or flea on either one of my dogs. Why dont they make frontline for humans?? What a sale! :) Warning about internet buying On: 2008-07-15This product has worked well on my dogs for 7 years. They are rescue dogs and were flea & tick infested when I first adopted them. They have not had any problems since I had been using this. ***Warning*** Make sure if you are purchasing this product on the internet that it is made in the USA. The US has different standards than other countries that produce this. I recently ordered some from a store that the product looked the same & was in the same box but was made in Australia. For the $30 I saved, I think I would feel more comfortable with a product made in the US. Be extra careful if your product is made in China...my vet warned me that several pets became sick when their owners used medications purchased on the internet that were made there. Best flea product On: 2008-07-13I live on a cattle ranch and we gather cows several times a year with our dogs (and our jack russell who thinks he is a cow dog). They picked up all kinds of bugs and fleas until we started using Frontline. We no longer have problems with fleas and ticks. Also water does not seem to bother the effectiveness of the product because our dogs are trained to jump into water to cool off, when we are working cows, and we have not found fleas or ticks on them yet. I am a very happy customer! WEAR GOVES WHEN APPLYING On: 2008-07-05Most people dont think about what they are putting on their pet when they use this stuff. Its a potent insecticide called Fibronil. It is transmitted through skin-- dog skin or your skin!! Be sure to wear protective gloves--Amazon sells inexpensive boxes of throw away nitrile gloves the same type doctors use when they give patients chemo or handle potent drugs. USE THEM. Dont pet your animal where you applied the chemical. I got horrible headaches from this. It works great on fleas, and I would be sure your pet is actually at risk for fleas and ticks before randomly applying. (I held off until she had them) Now we just use the product in the summer, since our poodle is primarily an indoor pet. Fibronil is highly toxic to marine life. We dont need more needless chemicals in our environment. Use sparingly! frontline On: 2008-07-05Frontline does a great job keeping ticks and fleas away. My dog never has a problem with them. Didn't Work for Me  On: 2008-06-09After countless recommendations by friends, family, and vets I decided to give it a shot. It really didnt do much. I have 2 Dachshunds and a Miniature Pincher that stay inside the majority of the time. They only go outside to potty. I cant say it didnt work cause they did have "less" fleas but, it wasnt worth the money at all. Just last night I picked 10 fleas off my min pin. I live out in the country so perhaps that has something to do with it but I have read many reviews that said it works in the country as well. Perhaps I have a hybrid breed of fleas that are immune to FrontLine? frontline solid choice On: 2008-06-03Hello Weve had the dog for two years and this product has always worked for us. I do wonder about its safety ( the box says you cant touch the dog for 4 hours after application. Less than Vet Office prices On: 2008-04-29This is the same product Ive always purchased at the Vet Clinic, but its less expensive. The product was easy to order and arrived in a timely manner! vet recommended On: 2008-04-11My breeder is also a vet. She has used this product on her own dogs for about ten years. She feels so strongly about protecting her animals, she actually gave us some of this when we purchased a dog. Frontline Plus On: 2008-03-21I received a 6 month supply for what I paid for a 3 month supply at the vet. Very pleased with the savings; in addition, to the seller made contact with me asap & kept me posted on the order & when it would be shipped. Worth every penny! On: 2008-02-08Nothing makes me happier than a product that actually does what it claims to do. This one does. One little vial on the back of my pups neck each month keeps her--and us--flea free. I havent noticed any side effects. So easy and so effective! Well worth the cost. If your dog is pregnant do NOT use this product, the puppies died in both my female dogs I used it on. On: 2008-02-08I had three pregnant Chihuahua females, I did NOT treat one of the females because shes is blue and more sensitive then the other two. The package states it is safe to use on pregnant females however, one week after use the two females that had been lactating, had milk and bagging out dried totally up with all signs of being pregnant vanishing immediately after use of this product. I notified them, they asked me what happened, I told them, they refused to accept responsibility as the woman told me their tests did not indicte this problem. If you love your dogs, your puppies, your smaller animals, do not trust this product or these people. The doctors also thought it was safe to use the anti nausea medicine in women 40 years ago that caused birth defects by the thousands! This company LIES! It is VERY dangerous to the life of your pet. Frontline Plus works great! On: 2008-01-20I have been using Frontline Plus for over 6 years on my Cairn Terrier and he has never had fleas or ticks. We live in Texas, where both fleas and ticks are plentiful during the hot summer months, so I have total faith in this product. Frontline Plus works! On: 2008-01-14We adopted two small dogs who became riddled with fleas. We tried flea baths, spraying the yard, vacuuming, copycat flea repellent products, etc.. Nothing got rid of the fleas until we tried Frontline Plus. After the first application the fleas completely disappeared within several days. Fortunately, the fleas have not returned and our dogs have not experienced any side-effects. Application is amazingly simple and the dogs dont seem to even notice it. We love Frontline Plus! After lifting her and putting my palm on her chest, I can tell her breathing was elevated and her body temperature was high. I immediately washed her and used regular dog shampoo and used lots of water to remove the products. Thereafter, she was fine. Never, never again to use this product. It works!
