Its perfect... the only thing It doesnt say to twist the bowls off so I pulled and pulled then after I got it off I realized its a twist off. other than that its great.

Inexpensive, practical, and not bad on the eyes

I was leary at first but didnt want to spend $100 or more on a dog feeder. This one was exactly what I was looking for. Inexpensive, practical, and aethestically pleasing is how I describe this feeder. The locking feeder bowls are great because my dogs (both retreivers) love to carry the bowls around with them. Now, they cant do that. Dog food gets expensive when youre dog just cant balance the bowl just right. Recommend to all my animal lover friends. I also like the ability to store food inside of it. Saves trips to the garage.

Best dog food feeder I have owned

I was searching Amazon Shopping for the smaller version of the Pet Zone feeder when I stumbled across the previously posted review on this product. I felt the need to write my opinion since I have a very different outlook on the product. I have owned and used this size for over 5 years and as long as I own a dog I will never use another type of feeder. You do need more floor space for the unit than a typical round food bowl.

The 8" dimension is the diameter of the bowls on top of the unit. I use the left bowl for water and the right one for food. The opening to the storage area is below the right bowl. This product has eliminated all spilled water and puts the food storage in a convenient location. I have had two dogs use my feeder and neither one has taught themselves to lift a bowl so I dont rotate them to the full locking position which makes it easier to use.

You do need to make sure the dog is tall enough for this size. I think the greyhound picture is in correct proportion for the listed size.

First of all, I purchased this item, and did not receive the one pictured here. Instead I got the smaller version.

When I called, the woman in "customer service" said that I WAS WRONG and that this page IS advertising the smaller feeder.
The product is described as being "24.0 x 16.5 x 11.5 inches", and I dont see anything about 8 inches. The measurements are off by several inches (as many as 5 on one side...).

As for the quality of the item... the main complaint that I have is that it is very difficult to remove the bowls from the feeder to get to the food. If you had water in one of the bowls, I am sure it would spill everywhere.

The return was a hassle and they didnt refund the shipping costs. I wont buy from them again...
