![]() Advantage Topical Flea Treatment for Dogs 21-55 Pounds (6 Applications) By: Advantage Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 13 More Information Great value This is a great value for this produce. I have yet seen a value this great anywhere A great Anti-Flea Product for Dogs I had used another Flea Treatment for many years and it worked great until the last few years. I asked a dog sitter I had if they could recommend something else as what I was using didnt seem to work any more. Advantage solved my problem. It works great. Good for fleas This medicine is good for protection against fleas, but it doesnt have tic medicine. There are thousands of species of tics out there - it is not a good idea to leave your animal unprotected. There are many types of tics out there that will kill your family pet. Great product I highly recommend Advantage. We had always used Advantage, but we bought Frontline b/c thats all the vet had at that time. Unfortunately, we could tell the difference very soon afterward. Our dog was constantly scratching, and we would see fleas crawling over her after every time we took her out, something we never saw while she was on Advantage. We bought the Advantage (even though we didnt finish the Frontline), and within a few days, the fleas disappeared, and havent returned. We wont buy anything else. Great product I actually purchased this product from Amazon after my veterinarians office stopped selling Advantage and instead sells K9 Advantix now. Because I thought perhaps Advantage had changed the look of the box, I tried the K9 Advantix on my pug for about 3 months (I also used the one for cats on my cat for 2 months). After all of that time using the K9, my husband was sitting on the couch and a flea jumped on him. We have NEVER had fleas in our house, NEVER! We had always used Advantage on our animals and by this time I had realized it was definately a different product. The K9 Advantix was returned to the vet, and I purchased the Advantage from Amazon. I have not seen a flea, and the animals stopped itching and scratching since applying the Advantage. The only thing, the Advantage doesnt repell other pesky insects. So, if you have ticks in your yard (which thank goodness we dont) then your dog will get ticks. Advantage Topical Flea Treatment for Dogs Item was received in a timely manner, packaged well and received in perfect condition. Product was the same as I receive from the Vet at a considerably lower cost. I will continue to order as long as the Vet recommends this product. Great price for an excellent product! Ive been using Advantage on my two dogs for several years, always searching for the best price available, and now I seem to have found it. Not only is the product effective, but Amazon offers it at a lower price than many of the outfits that advertise much more heavily. Advantage works flawlessly. I have used Advantage on my dog for five years and she has never had a flea. She lives in our house but will play all day outside if its nice out. This doesnt work on ticks but those are easy to find. I highly recommend it. ??? I was searcing under K9 Advantix and somehow ended up here. No wonder the price was so low - this is Advantage - Advantixs poor cousin. nOT happy but stuck cause the dog is overdue for flea treatment. EXCELLENT.......................... Immediate relief for whatever is causing your pet to scratch continuously. I have 4 dogs, and once I applied this product, the itching and scratching, and irritation was gone in less than 5 minutes. I will be purchasing this product again, as soon as summer swelters in. Superior Product Advantage Topical Flea Treatment works great on my dog and my familys dogs. We have tried other treatments with little to no success. Advantage is definitely worth what we pay for it and we will continue to use it for as long as it works. Thank you to the makers of Advantage for making a product that works. Weve had wonderful results with no ill effects... We have three dogs & two cats & occasionally a few hundred if not thousand fleas. We use different doses to cover the whole herd. We used Advantage when we lived in TX & it worked great. Then we moved to MO, got a new vet who sold Frontline in bulk & gave one free when you bought four. He would just fill syringes with a prescribed amout & put those in a medicine bottle. We thought, sure, whats the difference & went on as usual. The frontline is a good product & we couldnt really tell any difference so we just didnt think anymore about it. But after a few months one of our dogs started to have allergic reactions to fleas. For reasons I wont go into here, we switched Vets. Our new Vet didnt sell Frontline in bulk so we purchased the Advantage from her that came directly from the maker, Bayer. Wow, what a difference! I put in on the whole crew at 8 am & by noon the scratching & biting was almost non existent. I did a search for fleas & the ones I did find were either dead or moving so slowly they were easy to catch & kill. Two days later we have no fleas. Now I should add two things here. First, I also treated my lawn with a 10 lb bag of flea, tick & ant killer which Im sure helped. At least as far as re-infestation is concerned. Second, I suspect that the bulk Frontline that I was purchasing may have been weakened by age or the way it was stored by the Vet & transferred to me in syringes. So I would suggest that anyone thinking about purchasing in this way, think again. Lastly, my wife & I are considering using Advantage & Frontline both. Possibly switching them every other month in hopes of keeping the little buggers from developing resistance. I dont know if that will help but it couldnt hurt. Flea protection Ive tried them all and I believe this one is the best. The only negative is that fleas do build up tolerance, and what used to truly work for 4 weeks seems to now only last 3 or so. I live on a farm with sandy soil though, and the dogs get wet and are outside a lot but live inside. I never, ever see fleas. |
