The most popular chew toy in the house

My two dogs (a 35 lb. shepherd mix and a 50 lb. lab mix) love these bones. Ive given them a variety of different types of toys over their lives (theyre 5 and 6 1/2 now) and the small Nylabone Knot is by far the most popular. Sure, they like their Kongs and their tennis balls and their rope tugs... but they love these chew bones. They are the only toys that reliably get daily use.

They love them so much I try and keep at least 4 in the house at any one time, preferably 5 or 6, so they can always easily find a couple no matter what area of the house were in. Id say on average they probably chew these bones 3 or 4 times a day each for about 15 minutes each time.

These bones may be more expensive than rawhides or even other nylon chew toys, but they are worth every penny. Even with the amount of use my dogs give them, they last for 2-3 months each. And that makes them a real bargain. And they actually help keep my dogs teeth cleaner rather than promoting tartar build up like sticky rawhide would.

The only drawback I can find is you better invest in some good slippers or make sure you turn on the lights if you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Because stepping on these bones barefoot? OWIE!!

Ive given my dogs many other shapes and sizes of Nylabones too but the small knot bone is their favorite. I even picked up the large size of the same shape one time when I couldnt find small ones and they just werent as interested. For whatever reason, these bones are my dogs favorites and thats fine by me.
