We have bought approximately 400 of these over the years. I have a labrador who is obsessively focused on them - burying them, digging them up, chewing them, and yes - chasing them.

While originally, they were the strongest (least destructive) dog frisbee out there, advances in orbee technology have made planet dogs frisbees more durable. Add to that, I believe (have no proof, other than desctruction level) theyve moved to cheaper plastic in the last couple of years... these are not the ultimate in destructive proof frisbees any longer.

It appears PetSmart has stopped carrying them (no longer on their web site). The cost has come down and gthey seem harder to come by. Ive starting hoarding these, as my old dog is unlikely to adapt to a new frisbee.

I still rank them 4 stars as theyve brought job to our oldest dog, but I would reconsider introducing thme to your dog, unless it likes toy variety

durable but...     On: 2007-02-22

Product is durable, but as with any plastic product, a determined chewer can trash it and should not be left alone with it. It is designed to be easy for a dog to pick up (a cone-shaped protrusion centered on the underside prevents it from laying flat on the ground), but as a result, it does not fly as well, or as far, as a conventional frisbee.
