I specifically ordered this retractable leash because it said it was a "tape" leash. Before it was shipped I emailed the company and asked them to let me know for sure this was indeed a "tape" leash and NOT a "cord" leash, as I did NOT want a "cord" leash. They emailed me back assuring me it was a "tape" leash.

Well, guess what I got? There is about a foot of "tape" on first part of the leash, the rest of the 15 feet or so is "CORD"!! I emailed them and told them I got the "cord" leash and they wrote back and said that is the one I ordered! Now if you look at the ad for this, it says "TAPE" leash.... I will NEVER order anything from this company again!

I have a basset hound. More importantly, a DEMANDING basset hound that constantly tries forcing me to not walk, but RUN with him, whenever we go for a walk.

I was afraid when purchasing this retractable leash, that the cord would not be strong enough to hold up over time, and that the cord would probably rip out the minute the dog spots a rabbit or another dog and takes off running. But so far, three years later, it hasnt happened.

This leads me to conclude that this leash is a wonderful purchase. Oh, and the fact that theres a handle located conveniently for you to hold is another bonus. I mean, come on, the handle fits in your hand nice and snug. Good leash. I highly recommend it.
