I adopted Jack, our adult Jack Russell Terrier, about six months ago. Since he was rescued from the pound, he had some issues. After a few months things got better and he learned to trust me. The only problem left was his anxiety around loud noises. He hated our suround sound system and would go crazy any time we tried to put a movie in and watch it. I saw this at the store and thought Id give it a go (especially since we had just bought a new Blu-Ray player and wanted to enjoy some movies!). I plugged it in that night and then we turned on our movies. He laid calmly in his bed all night! He actually even moved his bed over closer to the wall where I had it plugged in like he sensed thats where it was coming from. Im so impressed that Im going to buy a couple of the refills so I wont ever be without it. Also, the next day I also noticed that he stopped whining about wanting to go outside and chase squirels and/or birds. Usually if he sees something outside hell sit there and whine until you let him out. Since plugging this in there has been no barking or whining while inside the house. I would recommend at least giving this a shot. On: 2007-10-28
My rescued Shih Tzu cannot live without Comfort Zone. He came from a puppymill in Misery (aka Missouri) and has multiple issues with things he perceives as being scary. As soon as the bottle runs out I can see his behavior change just as it changes when I put in the new bottle. Dont judge this product by a few people whos dogs it didnt help: try it for yourself. Its worth it if it helps your dog (and you/your family) to be happier. Youll never know if you dont try it! And do a google search on puppy mills-youll be shocked and horrified at what you learn! I dont see where this product helped with calming either my 10 year old dog with her anxiety of thunderstorms/firecrackers, or my new puppy with her separation anxiety from the litter.

I cannot say enough good about this product. For me, it meant Bailey would stay. I am the third owner of this 8 month old Pomeranian, but I hadnt known that when I bought him. Once they are in your heart, you want to do the best for them. I had tried many things, but this changed him into a new puppy. He had reminded me of a year old baby while they are cutting teeth...cried constantly, would only eat if I was with him, I couldnt be out of his sight because hed just lose his mind, wanted held or touched constantly & didnt sleep. Since he gets into everything, for his own safety, I shut him in the bathroom while Im at work. With this plugged in, he has calmed down, eats his food, and isnt crazy with fear when I release him. Hes still excited to see me, but its a normal dog kind of excitement now. I intend to get more of them to spread throughout the house. Im hoping that after a few months hell relax enough that he can be left alone in the house and yard, but at least with this product, we can be a family. On: 2005-12-13
My dog has separation anxiety and as Ive tried almost everything on the market for his condition, I thought Id try DAP. It had absolutely no effect on him at all. Separation anxiety is a serious and difficult to treat condition and the makers of this product are making claims that the product does not fulfil in any way. Dont bother.
