The makers really thought about the dog owners needs when traveling with a dog. The seat sits on a suitcase that can be accessed while the dog seat is in position. The seat was easy to put together, easy to install and fairly easy for the dog to learn to use. Our little Chinese Crested is so full of energy that he flies all over the car. The seat doesnt completely keep him contained because he crawls out on his head but that isnt a problem of design, more of dog training, or lack of dog obedence. ITs a great dog seat. You wont be disappointed. best dog seat ever On: 2008-06-05This is a great dog seat. It is compact enough to allow for 2 people in the back seat but is great for the dog. I highly recommend it. Three years later still loving the stow-away and about to buy a third On: 2008-02-18Our Maltese furkids love their stow-away carseats! The seats are safe, secure, comfortable and practical. Our Maltese babies can sit high up, look outside, but still have plenty of room to like down and relax when they get tired. We just adopted a third Maltese, and hell be getting his stow-away, too. At first they werent too sure, but soon realized they can see out the windows and still see Mommy and Daddy in the front seats. We love the safetey factor because they are secured by the strap in the seat that we attach to their harnesses. When we travel we can use the bottom section of the seats as a suitcase to pack their toys, treats, etc. and we can also provide a comfy bed in the hotel room. This is an extremely well made product. We recommend this product to anyone who is interested in keeping their "babies" safe when traveling. Our girls love their new car seats! Great way to transport your dog On: 2006-11-11This has lots of room to store your pets stuff when travelling with him and it keeps him safe during the car ride. The fact that the car seat becomes a bed too is extremely convenient when going for a night or more away from home. Also its easy to put into the car. The Perfect Car Seat for a Small Pet On: 2006-08-01We bought this car seat 2 years ago for our mini-schnauzer so he could be safe in the car, while also being able to see out the window (he is too small to see if he is just sitting on the back seat strapped in). We continue to be delighted with the product and he loves it. He is happy to sit in the back seat in his car seat, comfy & safely strapped in, watching everything outside. The car seat has worn well and still looks like new. We recently got another mini-schnauzer and one of our first purchases was to get another stow-away car seat for him. They now sit in the back seat side by side in their own car seat and are both very happy and safe with the arrangement. We were pleased to see that the new car seat has had some safety improvements made that make it even better than the 2 year old one we have. The suitcase feature is perfect because it not only raises the car seat for visibility but it also allows us to stash a spare leash, poopie bags, and a water dish, in case we forget anything when we leave home. Weve also used the car seat in our camper since it makes RV travel safe and fun too.
