I have two pugs, who have been on Newmans Own Organic dog food and treats for about 6 months now, with great results. While your dog will survive on any commercial dog food, the better the food you offer them, the healthier they will be and more longeivty they will have. If nothing else, feeding a food like this one, because it is more nutrient-dense and does not contain undigestible fillers such as corn...less poop!
I previously fed Innova, which I was happy with, but made the switch to Newmans on principal. Newmans donates all thier proceeds to related charities and has a seriously strong reputation for being a never-test-on-animals manufacturer (I know its funny to not test dog food on dogs, but I dont mean taste testing- I mean ugly, awful, kept-in-cages-and-injected, etc. animal testing) and environmentally-friendly and organic (because less hormones and pesticides is healthier!) company. Innova wont share thier practices...

My Mini Dachshund has food allergies and I fed her Natural Choice, Lamb Meal and Rice, Dry, for the first 4 years of her life until I read [...]. Since then, I have tried my Mini Dachshund and Jack Russell Terrier on Canidae, Lamb Meal and Rice, Dry. They werent thrilled with the taste so I mixed it with some of the remaining Natural Choice. That bag is empty so I am trying Newmans Own Adult Dog Chicken Formula, Dry. I purchased the 4 lb. bag to see if my dogs liked it. They were trying to get into the bag before I opened it. They are crazy about the taste and I have never seen them gobble up the food so quickly. I will purchase the 25 lb. bag next time. It may be more expensive than other brands but it is good for their health and yummy, too!!!!

i have just put my 4 dogs on newmans organic dog food and the difference in their coats is unbelievable. i am assuming this outward change reflects their general improvement in overall health. i highly recommend this product and also their canned food and treats which i also feed.

Ive always tried to feed my dogs the best. Have been careful about labels etc. but Newmans Own Organic is by far my favorite. The dogs love it too.
I wish the price was a tad lower but Ill continue to buy it.

I have two pugs and they both have major food allergies. One worse than the other. While my little one doesnt really like the taste (unless I mix it with something else) she no longer has food allergies. Ive tried many over the counter and RX dog foods and this is the only one that helps with her allergies.
