Many dog foods are made up primarily of grain-based fillers. I have a Jack Russell, Max, whose eyes would get weepy 1/2 hour after eating. Researching told me that many dogs are sensitive to grains because they are "agriculturely-oriented" <- laughed about that but its true. :) They dont digest grains well. Though the branding is strange (dog food spin off from a book group...its like buying "Dog Food for Dummies" or something!), he loves the food and the weepy eyes are gone. There is a bit of brown rice in the mix, but its primarily meats and vegetables. It smells good and his breath is much better too, which means the food isnt sitting in his gut.
Very pleased! On: 2005-06-30
