Nice bunny cage

Based on other customers reviews, I chose this when I got my first rabbit a few months ago. I have been very pleased with it. It seems to be made of quality materials, and seems a comfortable home and a good design. (Of course bunny gets out for exercise.)

I only have one quibble with it, and that is the plastic lip that runs around the top floor of the bunny cage. It would be easier to clean that area without it. Otherwise, I recommend it.

Best rabbit cage ever

My rabbit loves this cage. I would not recommend it for a large rabbit but my Netherland dwarf mix fits in the cage with room to spare. He loves that he can escape to the den area beneath. He has become less stress because he can retreat to the lower level and relax. I enjoy the built in litter pan. It took him a couple of days to catch on but he uses the litter pan religiously now. The cage is very durable. I also enjoy that the unit is on wheels. It makes cleaning so much easier to move the cage outside. It cleans very easily too. Just a quick wipe down will do. Overall this is the best rabbit cage I have ever had. The price is another huge selling point as well.

Nice cage

Nice little cage, well thought out but missed a few things. First off, a more resistant plastic on the litter box since the urine eats away at it on contact, make it so you can turn the litter box to get even wear, the way it is, you can insert only one way. Big one, a RAMP! My bunny is adult now, and its too far for him to jump, a ramp would be nice! I do really like this cage, casters are great and glide smoothly, and its pretty easy to clean. Being this kind of plastic, its like electrostatic so the bunny fur sticks all over the outside which is easilt fixed with the vacuum as you go by.

Best Rabbit Cage Ever

I cant say enough good things about this cage. My rabbit is almost eight years old, so ive been through my fair share of rabbit cages and this one is by far the best purchase ive made. My rabbit was already completely liter trained when I bought this cage, but the layout of it makes it so it would be ridiculously easy to liter train a new rabbit as well.

This cage is plastic, so its very lightweight, but the bars are thick and its extremely sturdy. And its on wheels for easy moving. It comes apart, so its easy to clean all the compartments (or just the liter box - which pulls out!)

This cage is also perfect for rabbits who dont spend a lot of time pent up. My rabbit typically spends more time out of the cage than in the cage, so he gets depressed if his cage doesnt have a lot of room for him to spread out - this cage solved that problem because it has an entire underneath that he can use as a bedroom, a separate liter box section, and an area to keep his food and water clean.

Just be aware that you set aside enough space, this cage was MUCH larger than I expected it to be. But I cant really complain because he loves his little bunny mansion.

Great product!

This is an amazing product! There was so much ease at putting it together, and my rabbit loves it! I have a Holland Loop.
This cage is ONLY for small rabbits (Holland, mini, dwarf) because the rabbit would quickly outgrow it if it was a normal size rabbit. Good for other smaller animals too. The design is wonderful- It is meant to be kept in an indoor area, such as a back porch due to not having a covered top.

HELP first rabbit and not sure about the cover on the litter pan

This is our first bunny and i think the cage is better than any we have seen. Does aanyone know why there is a cover over the litter pan? If you cover it how will he know what is just livivng area and what is a litter pan if he never touches the litter. Can you put a towel in the sleeping quaters or will it eat it? Please help

Great cage for 'SMALL' rabbits

This is a great idea for a cage, too bad our rabbit is a lot larger then I thought. She had a real hard time getting down into the bottom/sleep compartment of the cage and her (now I know) huge body could barely fit in the litter area then into the bottom. She was not comfortable at all. Please dont get me wrong, if you have a smaller rabbit this is fantastic we are going to keep if for sure and get a dwarf rabbit that can enjoy it.

A Lot of Cage for the Money

Amazon has a great deal on these especially with the free shipping. i have the Iris square pens and love them but they have no solid bottoms, so i figured id try one of these for my tiny pomeranian females that were due for puppies. They have trouble figuring out the bottom section but overall they liked digging the shredded newspaper i put in for them. it does not work that well for the dogs, but i think for a small bunny would be perfect. My dog is about 6 lbs and you really wouldnt want it any larger to live in there too long. It was easy to assemble and very well made compared to many flimsy cages and hutches and very eye appealing and the roll around the house feature is great! Thumbs up!

Fantastic Cage!

I bout put this cage and put it together and I was surprised my rabbits and I both LOVE this cage. Immediately the babies wanted to search every nook and cranny of the cage and the litter pan makes clean up a BREEZE. I actually bought another one to put together for my oldest rabbit to have too. It is sturdy, and because it is plastic it wont rust not to mention the bottom hide-way can be closed off so if you dont want your bunny hiding from you all you have to do is slide the door! the opening on top makes it SUPER easy to get in to change the food and newspaper and the fact that the top section detaches from the bottom just makes it that much better!

A real rabbit cage

Before buying this cage, I went to multiple pet shops, looked on different web sites for used and new cages, and even though this cage wasnt really attractive at first, I decided to go for it. One of my best decision ever! This cage is really ment for rabbit. Even if my rabbit tries to chew on it, he has never been able to destroy any of it. The size of the cage if perfect for one rabbit, and as my kids say, theres even a basement (where I believe he likes to go and hide from them!!). The drawer for the litter is well designed; has it overlaps the opening, the urine of the rabbit cant go underneath it. My son whos in charge of cleaning up the hay around the cage really appreciates the fact that it is on wheels. I recommend this cage to anyone who is looking for a cage specifically designed for rabbits.

I purchased the Iris Plastic Rabbit Cage after reading multiple positive reviews at Amazon.com. I recently adopted a 10-week old baby bunny, and she was not litter-trained.

I got the Super Pet starter cage at first, but it wasnt easy to clean the cage/litter pan without "invading" her territory. Also, she didnt use the litter pan all the time.

Once I read about how the Iris cage makes it easy to litter-train bunnies, I purchased this cage for $44 with free shipping. (Amazing deal! - I first wanted the green bottom, but the green one sold on E-bay was about $40 more expensive than the black one. After all, I do like the black bottom. It looks nicer than photo.) According to the instruction, I closed the door to the bottom level (nest area) until she is 100% litter-trained. From Day 1, she has been using the toilet area without a problem. I placed the hay rack in the toilet area as rabbits naturally eat and do their "businesses" at the same spot.

I am planning to open the nest area about a month later once she gets completely used to her new cage and using the litter pan. Hopefully, she will not be confused. Also, the litter drawer makes it very easy to clean the cage and control the odor.

Also, she no longer runs around the house leaving little droppings. For some reasons, she has also learned to hold better until she returns to her cage.
The cage is quite spacious for small breeds.
I strongly recommend this cage! :)

wonderful rabbit cage!

I am a first time rabbit owner and I stumbled across this cage, and it has been wonderful! my rabbit is a mini rex and she has ample amount of room to strech out and move around freely in the cage. The cage seems to also work well with her natural rabbit instincts, she new immediatly that the burrow area was to sleep, and the litter pan area was to use the potty. She has never used the potty out side her cage when she needs to go she runs back to her cage and goes in the litter pan area. This is a wonderful cage that is easy to clean and my rabbit enjoys I would highly recommend this cage to any med. to small sized rabbit owner!

This is the right cage for bunny

I have two rabbits but before I got them I did a lot of research as to the type of housing I needed for indoor bunnies. The Iris cage was the winner. This cage is easy to put together, easy to clean and your bunny will feel very secured as the cage has a section that acts like a rabbits den. The cage is set up to easily train your rabbit to use a potty box.

I strongly recommand this cage for anyone who wants an indoor bunny. I dont recommand it for rabbits over six pounds as this cage would be to small for them.Iris Plastic Rabbit Cage

Rabbit cage fit for my cat!

This review written by MRS. Robert Hamilton. This cage fit the criteria for a multi-day car trip for my cat. It was beyond my expectations in quality! Certainly perfect for a rabbit and suitable in this case for my 14 year old cat moving cross country in a few weeks. I had planned on placing a perch of some sort to utilize upper space. I did, she likes it, complete with her comfy toweling. This would be needed so she could see out of the car window as she lounged. No other cages gave me the space flexibility within the size footprint to fit in my Honda CRV. The perch was constructed with simple peg boarding and zip-ties, taking only 25 minutes to add, then covering with her towel. There is a lower and quite cozy sleeping chamber below I am not sure my cat will even find, for a rabbit its perfect! I have placed a small cat pan there with litter pearls. The section meant for bunny-business may also work for my cat and may examine the idea in the morning. Excellent quality and thought-out design especially for a bunny! The wheels are a must, but are removable. Entire hut very easy to assemble. Screws are used to secure all the details after snapping parts in place. So to think of it as being foldable is not accurate, but can be just as easily disassembled for storage.
